Harry and Meghan Hug for Second Polo Appearance!

What a treat this weekend has been! Meghan Markle made her second polo appearance as Harry participated in the Audi Polo at Coworth Park once again today. Our favourite photographer James Whatling covered the event and managed to capture fantastic snaps of the happy couple hugging before the game commenced. I'm not one to jump the gun, but I think you'll agree, it's very clear to see they are very much in love.

Harry slipped away from the crowd to share a moment with Meghan who likely gave him words of encouragement ahead of the game.

Yesterday, Meghan was much more visible alongside spectators including Prince Harry's confidant and mentor Mark Dyer. She was all smiles as she cheered on her Prince in a very stylish Antonio Berardi high-low dress and a crisp white blazer. It's excellent to see her there again supporting Harry - they are clearly prioritising spending time together and making their "long distance" relationship work.

Prince Harry was joined by Prince William today. They played in support of two charities particularly close to William's heart - Tusk Trust and Royal Marsden.

They were delighted to lead their team to victory in front a star-studded crowd.

Stars in attendance included Luke Evans and Emma Stone.

Meghan wore a tan trench coat and a white dress underneath.

As photos are incredibly limited, it's difficult to positively identify Meghan's pieces, however the team at Meghan's Mirror believe she wore the Burberry Silk Bishop Sleeved Trench. Crafted from lightweight silk and dyed in classic beige, the trench is belted at the waist. It's currently available at StyleBop. We know Meghan is a huge fan of Burberry and a classic trench is another stylish addition to her wardrobe.

Meghan sported her Oliver Peoples The Row O Malley NYC Sunglasses. They are described as "A collaboration between two American labels celebrated for subtle sophistication, Oliver Peoples The Row designs feminine renditions of iconic frame silhouettes, all featuring custom lenses crafted of colored mineral glass." They retail for $450 at Barneys

The cover of The Sun features a very romantic photo of Meghan and Harry sharing a kiss.

Our reader Bluhare referenced this excellent tweet from royal account The Regal Look. We hear your sentiments and echo them :)

The Telegraph reports Meghan will be at the entirety of Pippa Middleton's wedding on Saturday, 20 May. We can look forward to seeing the couple together there :)

My favourite photographer James Whatling must have uploaded it the moment he took it. I'm hoping more photos will be available soon. It captures a very special moment and it's lovely to see Meghan at the polo again :)

    2. He seems like such a gentleman too, I enjoy his commentary ;)

I mentioned in the last post I remember one of his tweets "Can we just propose to her as a nation?" :) I wonder if she knows Harry's not the only one taken with her, she's impressed so many people!

    3. There's a good tweet on my feed right now from someone who said she wished someone would just go and pull Harry off his horse and tell him to propose to her already!

    5. And, if Meghan is at Pippa's wedding, I hope she is actually at the wedding and not just the reception. I mean really. Harry will see to it I'm sure.

    6. Info note. The woman next to Meghan is indeed Mark Dyer's wife. She is an American. Her name is Amanda Kline. She is an heiress from Texas.
Her father is George Kline II and as far as I could find out just quickly he is a securities managaer at JP Morgan. Mark and Amanda married in Wales in 2010. Harry served as an usher at their wedding. Mark has been an integral part of Harry's life for a long time. Why the info? lol Because I have a feeling we will be seeing more of Mark and Amanda. It was nice of Harry to have them keep Meghan company in the stands. Just what she needed. (A quick, public "Hi" from William would have been nice also.) There is a fairly comprehensive article about Mark Dyer and his place in Harry's life in the Daily Mail, 6/29/16, "Harry's Second Father".

It is so fun to see everyone here so excited about Harry and Meghan. :)

    8. Thanks surfer girl for the expansion on Harry's mentor. As I'm from Texas and probably within 10 years or less of her age (assuming she's somewhat in the norm of age ranges for Mark) I'm curious about Amanda Kline but could find no other information than what you have here. I wonder how old she is and if we ever crossed paths or how many degrees of separation we are? Do they have any children?

    9. Shannon, good questions. I just did a quick google. Usually that turns up a lot more than I found for Amanda, her father and family in general. Doesn't mean the information isn't there but just that you have to follow a lot of rabbit trails to get to the information. Hope fully will have extra time to do that in a day or so.

    5. The hug was dramatic enough that it could have been a rescue hug. Even more than just have a safe game hug. Add the kiss gives that even more plausibility. How often does a senior royal hug and kiss in public like that?

I don't know that that has been done before except on the palace balcony. Has it?

And Harry loves to rescue as he showed in public plea months ago. So Anon, you might have a point there. Just a guess. (Oh, and I have mentioned yet today that I love Harry :) )

      Delete
    6. That's a good possibility Anon, it may have been a bit crazy with media yesterday after Saturday's appearance. Baptism by fire :)

Bluhare and I were discussing all the articles as well, it is interesting, and to be honest I'm not sure what to make of it yet! But it certainly seems staff at several households were leaking, with or without their bosses permission, trying to assert themselves it would seem. Who knows but it's quite bizarre to see so many contrasting sides in such a short time.

    3. Very nice! I do not typically make such a statement and hope everyone sees the positivity in my comment. I believe its agreed that she is not Kate. They are both such stunning women.... so stunning!!!Big differences between the 2!
Kate came into the family and has made her own name and impact after the fact.
Meghan comes to the family already having her own name, as well as fan following and is EXTREMELY indepenent and vocal. Very Very strong woman that is versed in knowing how to use the media to benefit her cause. Hopefully they will see this quality as a benefit in her and let her continue to be such a large voice.
She is a force in her own right and very very out of the royal norm which makes her dangerous.... very good pick for Harry! Truly shows times have and continue to change :)

      Delete
    4. One other possibility is that any NRNB rule that may or may not be nonsense is not being broken. Perhaps the ring is already a done deal and all we are waiting for is the official word afterwards. I've suspected that for some time. There are little signs you could read something into if you were so inclined: the Northern Lights holiday, the H-ring, the island wedding, closing the Tig, and now the polo followed by Pippa's wedding.

Taken together these seem a gradual, inevitable progression in spite of the pace of the romance. No doubt their ages have everything to do with that. In your 20s there is plenty of time to wait (while you party). Not so much now. Plus at some point, after a few romances gone wrong, you simply know when one is right and waiting is pointless. Harry has also been open about wanting children for a long time.

    5. What ring will Harry give Meghan? One of Diana's rings? Or his own surprise design ring? Or one he and Meghan pick out or design together?
If he hasn't proposed already, where do you think he'd propose and on what date?
Did Diana even have any other rings that could be given as an engagement ring?

      Delete
    6. Your last graph is very well put Philly :)

Anyone of a certain age, especially married at a certain age (!) doesn't seem to bat an eye at this. In your 20's you ignore all the red flags, think you can change things, think things will be different after "x" happens... so on and so on. In your 30's (or later!) you see those flags for what they are and move on. You (usually) don't waste time the same way.

These two have been around. They know what they want, and what they don't want, in a partner and life probably.

I do understand the sentiment that this is not any relationship, that the spotlight Meghan will marry into is worth longer consideration. But it seems to me she's already doing royal "work" - in the future she'll just have more cameras following while she does it.

And if the awful tabloid stories about her family haven't put her off by now, nothing will! She gets it. They probably have a limited number of stories anyway since she's no longer in touch with that side, best to let them burn out now ;)

      Delete
    7. Can't wait for the first photo of Harry and his wee babe. No pressure, Meghan. Ha! I imagine she has delayed having children due to her career.
I not only think they are already engaged, I think she will be at the BP children's party. It is a meaningful event for Harry and I would think he would want Meghan with him.
I agree she will be on his arm at Pippa's wedding. I just still can't believe the Berkshire country wedding in the local beautiful but small church with backyard tent reception to follow. I think Pippa would enjoy that, but it doesn't fit in with the James we have seen but not heard from.

      Delete
    8. 18:16, I agree. Of all BP parties, the one with children seems definitely the one that Harry would want to have Meghan by his side for. I have a feeling he will make it happen, protocol or no protocol. :)

      Delete
    9. I had been of the mind that they should take things slowly but with the points you made Claudia I can see that side of it also. I am kind of vacillating on that for sure. One day I think take your time and the next day I see them at polo and find myself in the "someone-rush-the-field-and-tell-Harry-to-marry-her-already" camp, lol
They are already seasoned in many areas of their lives. And, I think Harry and Meghan are busy behind the scenes during her visits meeting Harry's friends and learning the lay of the land literally and protocol wise, etc. I don't think they are just sitting around snuggling and drinking wine alllllll the time. :)
So they are most likely purposefully and quickly making inroads to her assimilating into his culture. In my opinion, Harry will take excellent care of Meghan. And, truly, I don't think she would ever have to worry about Harry ever having a roving eye. Thankfully. She will take excellent care of Harry also. :)

      Delete
    10. Julia, do you know of any ring of Diana's that you think would make a suitable engagement ring for Harry to present to his future wife? Did the Queen Mum have others? Queen Elizabeth?
Ones that are substantial and have a good provenance.

      Delete
    11. Ha, Surfer Girl, I just came back to this post to see if I could stir up any informed speculation on if/how an engagement has/will go down, complete with investigation into what kind of ring Harry may have at his disposal or if others thought maybe he'd go with a brand new design. Or, possibly - she requests no big rock at all, perhaps due to human rights / political concerns re: mining of various precious gems. Projecting my own preference here but I'd love it if they forgo an engagement ring altogether and just each adopt a slim gold band once they're officially married. Sometimes I think simple and discrete is the absolute classiest way to go.

      Delete
    12. I agree Shannon. But also, there is an aspect of bringing an archived ring out of the dust, into the light of day and letting it continue it's journey in the Royal family gaining even more provenance that sounds good to me too. I actually like both ideas though.
I was surprised to find out they still have a ring that Elizabeth I wore daily. It had a picture/etching
or whatever of her mother, Anne Boleyn, in it. Amazing that that ring still exists today, yeh? :)
Not that Meghan should wear that one. lol

    1. Agree on all points Kiwi Gal! I'm just a little sad that because Meghan's a divorcee, their wedding will probably be more like Charles and Camilla's than William and Kate's. I always hoped that, even if Harry didn't have a big London royal wedding like his brother, it would at least resemble Prince Edward's. Now I'm not so sure, but I'll be glued to whatever TV coverage there is anyway!

    2. Me too! I'll be watching with great interest, just as I did for Will & Kate's wedding :)

    3. Interesting, Helen H, it really never crossed my mind that M&H would do just a simple courthouse wedding comparable to C&C. Seems to me the weight of her previous marriage does not equat to the baggage of Charles' relatively longer marriage to Diana, already-born heirs, Diana dying with her princess title still in effect, Camilla also having been previously married, an affair between the two while still married to others and widespread public disdain for the union of C&C. Plus, M&H are quite a bit younger than C&C. I personally think a full-on wedding on par with Prince Andrew's would be perfectly appropriate.

      Delete
    4. wow. I hadn't thought of that. Technically, he may have to follow suit. He may not be allowed to do that any other way, although surely they could make an appearance on the balcony and have their reception at BP after the ceremony.

      Delete
    5. Oh my goodness. If they had a simple court wedding I think some of us here would have a fit. I for one am looking forward to a full royal wedding with gown, carriage etc. C&C's case was quite different - there was a lot more baggage there.

      Delete
    6. I definitely want a royal wedding. Andrew got one, so Harry should as well. I do not want to be deprived of my fantasy wedding planning!

      Delete
    7. I desperately want a big wedding too (after all, we won't have another major royal wedding after Harry's until Prince George's! I don't think Beatrice's and Eugenie's will be fully televised), and I agree Rosman, if they have to have a register office wedding with just a blessing afterwards, poor Charlotte's blog will probably explode! I just don't see how the Church of England can change its mind on divorcees marrying in church without being accused of hypocrisy though. I guess the other option would be to marry in Scotland - the Church of Scotland seemed Ok with Princess Anne marrying in church for a second time, but obviously Harry would have a much bigger guest list so it would have to be in Edinburgh I think.

The only good thing about Charles and Camilla's wedding was that it only took two months from the engagement announcement to the wedding, so if Harry and Meghan get engaged in June, they could theoretically be married in August! Don't think it's likely to happen with the Invictus Games in September, but you never know.

We'll see. Still got my fingers firmly crossed for a 'proper' royal wedding though!

      Delete
    8. Is it true they cant have a royal wedding in England? That would put a big hole in our theory and our dream wedding!😭😭

      Delete
    9. It's my understanding that the Church of England allows divorcees to marry in church now. So I don't think our hopes are dashed just yet.

Although now I think about it, a wedding in Edinburgh featuring men in kilts might not be a bad idea. Just think, little George in a kilt!! ADORABLE!!

      Delete
    10. It is good news then. Men in kilts are always great prospects. George would look adorable in it indeed.😁

      Delete
    11. I love the idea of a Scottish wedding now Jo says she googled and divorcees can't marry in COE church. Edinburgh is gorgeous; they could have the reception at Holyrood and have men in kilts. Two great fantasies in one!

Although I went straight to the source and the COE says that there is a way divorcees can marry in church.

I can't wait! They make a terrific couple from what I've seen so far and I loved Meghan's message when she closed down her blog - she sounds very like Harry (and Diana) in her outlook.

    6. Agreed, I love that in the official circles her bi-racialism is a non-isssue. I give very little credence to anonymous commentators on rando websites. I like to read coverage on her in respectable outlets and at most I've seen reference to her parents and their racial background in a factual, not negative, way. Anonymous commentors with short inflammatory statements are to be ignored and don't represent the opinions of most, IMO.

  16. I think that Kate is probably uber relieved to have the headlines focusing on Harry and Meghan. If I were her I would be doing cartwheels in happiness. Someone to share the headline load. I have a feeling she and Meghan will be very close friends and have a lot of laughs and good times together. Meghan will actually have a new sister (and one she can trust). A beautiful addition and added strength to the family. Has the Royal family ever had it so good? Really. With Kate, Meghan, Sophie, Autumn. And Eugenie is turning out to be more than just a party girl too. Diana, you really did change your world. :)

  17. SG- and let us not forget that Sophie was hyped as a Diana lookalike at first. I don't think this was entirely lost on Edward. She did seem like another shy, blue-eyed blonde . Boy, was that wrong. She seems like a woman who has her goals and priorities in order. I agree that Kate and her little family could benefit by relief from the spotlight but with the increasingly significant role she and William are playing, it may not happen. Maybe just relief from the tabloid frenzy. Poor Meghan.

I think due to Meghan's age, if they do get engaged as soon as this summer, there will be a royal baby following within a year of their wedding. I know this is probably very superficial but I still find it interesting that after two girlfriends with fair hair (Chelsy and Cressida) Harry met dark-haired Meghan who resembles - a little bit - his sister-in-law; perhaps it had helped, at least at first, when he saw the likeness - somewhere on the subconscious level... :) But of course, there are far more important and better reasons for him to fall for her.

    1. I think Megan looks a bit like Pippa and I think that you may be quite right here. Just seeing a mature relationship made him think differently about women, maybe ? And that influenced his tastes subconsciously.

Yes, Rosman, that's what I had in mind - seeing a mature relationship... and a successful one.

    3. Harry was rumored to be dating Pippa from sightings around NottCott well before the emergence of MM. I think there was a denial issued. Some think that was really Meghan that was seen.

    4. Wow Marie, never thought of this! That would make sense tho. Some articles claim they started dating in October, but I really believe it was waaayyy before that

      Delete
    5. The timing is tricky because in May, 2016, Meghan was apparently still with her chef boyfriend-when Harry reportedly saw her and asked for her phone number. Whether there were emails, Skypes, phone-calls, by July the relationship with the chef was apparently over and there were some reports of them dating. I'll have to check on that Pippa thing for timeline.

    6. The Telegraph, 20 May, 2016, Gordon Rayner-about Harry bringing a complaint with IPSO about a magazine article claiming a relationship between Pippa and Harry. It was said to be very unusual for a BRF family member to file such a complaint. Since the objection seemed to relate to earlier-2011-events, I am not sure this is what I meant. I'll have to look further for a Nott-Cott reference, but I think Harry was still at Clarence House then. The timing of Harry's complaint in December, 2016, is interesting to me as the rumors had been around since the wedding and surely mentioned in some forum previously. It appeared to me a little like the unusual statement put out while William and Kate were first dating that he was not romantically involved with a childhood friend of his. .

    7. I remember that Marie. There was a report that Harry and Pippa were spotted eating at a nearby restaurant. I think that could have been Meghan.

    8. Erika, I felt that statement put out by KP-wasn't it November? Indicated a relationship more than a few months in development. That complaint Harry filed was in December, 2015 with the Rayner article May, 2016. I don't know if that was a re-do of an earlier story or if there was some immediate reason for writing about a nearly six month old event. It is possible that the information had just recently come to light.

A couple of years ago, here in San Diego at the Belly Up bar, he flirted with a girl who resembled Kate a lot, I mean a lot. It made the papers internationally. He was here visiting some military bases I think.

Really, surfer girl? That's funny :) Btw, I wanted to know where exactly San Diego is and not so far from it, I was surprised to find "Carlsbad"! It's the English version of our Karlovy Vary, a world-famous spa! Did you know? I wonder if it was founded by someone who knew the older Carlsbad (its origins date back to the 14th century).

    2. Zora. I don't have a clue about that but that wouldn't surprise me. :)

    3. Zora, don't know zip about their spas but it is just north of my usual places I go. Not spas though. I am not a spa girl. I prefer to do my own beauty stuff and sports stuff. I even get bored at the hair salon, (although I usually love the results). :) I don't like sitting or lying still for mud treatments, etc. :) And, you were right. Carlsbad here is a twin city to your Karlovy Vary. You're brilliant. :)
The mineral waters are chemically almost identical. I googled Karlovy Vary, btw, and it is so colorful and beautiful. I found that there is a Carlsbad, Texas, Carlsbad Springs, Ontario, Carlsbad National Park, New Mexico and apparently they were named that because they all have mineral water and/or geysers chemically similar to Karlovy Vary. It is a small world. :)

    4. P.S. San Diego is a Pacific coastal city located about 21 miles north of the border of Mexico, if that helps. :) Population about 6,000,000. 52 distinct neighborhoods spread out quite a lot so it doesn't seem like a big city really. A lot of military bases here, especially Navy. Lots of tourism. :)

      Delete
    5. In defense of spas (there are a lot of them here in San Diego), I will go with a group of friends for bridal shower stuff, girl's days out, etc. And I enjoy it then because of all the conversation and laughter. The time goes by in those situations so quickly. So, spas aren't all bad (in moderation). :)

    6. Zora from Prague14 May 2017 at 13:48

Oh, surfer girl, so many Carslbads! .) I didn't know about the chemically similar water. My Mum visited Karlovy Vary repeatedly and being there helped her almost miraculously with her gallbladder problems (after an operation) and the mud there helped her arthritis. So I would recommend it to people who really need the treatments.
I wonder if any member of the current BRF has ever been to a real spa for health reasons.
San Diego area looks very nice and touristy!

      Delete
    7. Zora. Really. lol. Who knew? Glad your Mum received relief. :) I never put too much credence before in those healing claims for the muds, minerals in the water, etc. Thankful to hear that helped your Mum. I would imagine the RF has their own spas, lol. Wouldn't surprise me at all.
Hope your Mum is continuing to do well. :)

I am getting excited for the Harry - Meghan romance to result in an expected happy engagement announcement and early wedding--what a great thing that would be if it all works out as hoped! Usually you want people to take their time and make sure things are all going the right way, but when you throw in the factors of their ages and desire for children, then taking time is not always the right thing to do. I was one of those who waited until my mid-30s to marry for the first time, or even to do a really serious relationship, but by the time I did, I felt I knew what to look for, and when I met my husband, it took almost no time at all for us to figure out that we should just hurry up and marry if we wanted a family. And we did, and it's been close to 30 years now. So yes, it works to do that if you get the right combination of luck, careful consideration of all the pros and cons, and finally a matched determination to make it work forever no matter what bumps come along. All my best wishes to this couple!

  23. This is just SO exciting! I've been reading Ella Kay's (Court Jeweller) post on wedding tiaras for Meghan. I know we are getting ahead of ourselves but it is really good fun.

I don't think they are engaged but I would LOVE to see Meghan at the Invictus games, and at any Princess Diana memorial events. I think that would put them at over a year of dating.

  24. If Harry marries Meghan that means, of course, that she will be a senior royal. She will be included in the family appearances on the balcony at BP. She will be titled HRH and most likely be a duchess and for sure Princess Harry. If Harry is present, Beatrice and Eugenie will curtsy to her. She will be at Trooping of the Color, etc. She will help Harry represent the Queen on foreign visits. I am picturing them on the balcony at BP now. Wedding gown and tuxedo. George and Charlotte by their side. The mall is wall-to-wall people all cheering. Harry and Meghan's special wedding appearance. Lovely. :)

  29. By the way, if you haven't read it, Charlotte recently retweeted an incredibly impressive article that Meghan wrote (approx a year ago?) about her upbringing. It's very honest and frank about the challenges she's had to face, and the path she had to take to be comfortable as her own person.

I have to say, she may have had an excellent editor, but I as quite impressed with her writing. It was very heartfelt and effective. She writes, "I'm more than an other" - using a census ethnicity box as a jumping off point for her own journey.

    Here's a piece of it:

"There I was (my curly hair, my freckled face, my pale skin, my mixed race) looking down at these boxes, not wanting to mess up, but not knowing what to do. You could only choose one, but that would be to choose one parent over the other – and one half of myself over the other. My teacher told me to check the box for Caucasian. 'Because that's how you look, Meghan,' she said. I put down my pen. Not as an act of defiance, but rather a symptom of my confusion. I couldn't bring myself to do that, to picture the pit-in-her-belly sadness my mother would feel if she were to find out. So, I didn't tick a box. I left my identity blank – a question mark, an absolute incomplete – much like how I felt.

When I went home that night, I told my dad what had happened. He said the words that have always stayed with me: 'If that happens again, you draw your own box.'

I never saw my father angry, but in that moment I could see the blotchiness of his skin crawling from pink to red. It made the green of his eyes pop and his brow was weighted at the thought of his daughter being prey to ignorance. Growing up in a homogeneous community in Pennsylvania, the concept of marrying an African-American woman was not on the cards for my dad. But he saw beyond what was put in front of him in that small-sized (and, perhaps, small-minded) town, and he wanted me to see beyond that census placed in front of me. He wanted me to find my own truth."

The entire article in Elle is well worth the read, if you haven't already. As I've said before, I think it will take much more than the British royals and the British press to rattle this girl, I think she's very much a secure, big picture person and knows how to put things in perspective. She's happy, she's healthy, she has love in her life. What more do you need?

    2. Well at least I'd be in good company, right bluhare ;) X

I read it before but it struck me going over it again. This is a woman who has seen some real ugliness in life, and said, do I want to sit here and complain or feel sorry for myself, or do I want to get up and get going?

Maybe it struck a nerve because I try constantly to drum into my daughters, you have to be self sufficient, you have to stand on your own two feet, you have to make your own way. Something could happen to me or your father tomorrow, you could marry the love of your life and something could happen to him. Life owes you nothing and guarantees even less!

They have some pampered princesses in their set, believe me, some parents want so much to indulge their children and give them what they didn't have (which I understand to a point) that they actually harm their children in the process. I hate to "go there" but it's what occurs to me with Carole Middleton. She worked so hard in life but never demanded the same of her children, a common and, as I said, understandable mistake. She's not the first to make it and won't be the last.

One parent I've been friendly with over the years, (even though we're nothing alike!) has indulged her children to the point they want everything on a silver platter, have no sense of finances, just incredibly privileged. When I challenged her she would say, "well they'll have a good inheritance why do they need a summer job, why do they need to worry about a career, etc, we're making sure they're set for life."

Her husband is now in the early stages of dementia, and has been admitted to an Alz facility which is costing a small fortune. She never imagined that of course, who would, but their inheritance (and even her security) is dwindling by the day. (Awful disease) It's a very sad situation and I just said to my one daughter, it's a hard lesson to learn. Life can change in an instant.

So here I am going on again! But I do admire Meghan's article and the sense of personality that comes through. I took a long way to say that now didn't I! ;)

    6. You are quite right Marie. This is in the states and the cost of long term care is staggering. I had no idea. Especially "good" facilities, and the dementia facilities in particular that need so many more "securities" than others. And if a well off family is shocked by it, I can't imagine how others cope. It's awful. Why so many have to assume the role of caregiver themselves, on top of all their other demands in life. It's a no win situation from what I can tell. I pray for our good health every day.

Katharine that is so kind, thank you, you made my day. One of the benefits of getting older ;) things come into focus more clearly every day!

  31. Nico Jackson left for Switzerland around August 2014. There is a photo of Pippa walking at night on a London sidewalk with James Matthews. Pippa was wearing light blue denim jeans, light blue shirt and a black leather jacket. In the photo Pippa looks surprised and less than happy that a photographer was there. This photo was taken about a week to ten days before it was announced that Pippa and Nico had parted ways.
So, I definitely think Pippa was already seeing James long before their engagement was announced. So was Pippa seeing Harry after Nico? I don't think so.

  34. There is an article in the Daily Mail today, Sebastian Shakespeare, with some quotes from Mark Dyer who is apparently retiring for awhile from the bar business and moving to the Home Counties. He has sold his bars. One of them, Sands End, is apparently where Harry has entertained Meghan more than once. One of the other ones was a favorite of The Rolling Stones, apparently. He said he will take a five year hiatus and then return to the hospitality industry. He jokingly said he certainly would not be making blankets in Africa or anything but would definitely stick to hospitality. So Harry's mentor won't be far from London but he will not be in London as much.

apparently. Harry and Meghan may be able to "run with it" but only on the track "the suits" choose. Even the Queen has to have her speeches reviewed and approved by reps from Parliment apparently. Reportedly the only speech she gets to do on her own is her Christmas message. I hope Meghan is aware of that. It all hinges on how much she loves Harry and wants to build a life with him.

  40. Thank you for posting Meghan's (I have such trouble typing the name out with the right spelling--keep wanting put an extra 'a' after the 'e' for some reason) blog about growing up bi-racial. Really good insights about how difficult it is to be in neither one category nor another.

In my opinion, I can't see Meghan putting up with the "men in grey suits" in the Palace. She just isn't that kind of girl, just like Chelsy wasn't. Actually, she is a lot like Chelsy in her spunkiness and independence. More down to earth though--much as I loved Chelsy, she was very rich, very dilettante. Anyway, IMO, if Meghan does accept Harry it will be because he has promised her that he is going to continue to carve out his own way regardless of what any of the Royal aides say.

    2. The thing that also sets Meghan apart from perhaps other "aristocratic" choices is that Meghan is naturally devoid of that upper crust innate sense of entitlement or superiority although she does have a healthful sense of self worth. And she can relate to people on levels the aristocracy probably knows nothing about.

She shared somewhere that at her lowest economic ebb she had to climb into her car through the tailgate on her hatchback because the other door latches wouldn't unlock. She didn't have the monies right away to get the necessary repairs made. She did calligraphy and gift wrapping to help make ends meet as she auditioned for acting opportunities.

  47. Meghan and Pippa belong to the same exclusive, private, London, women-only fitness club, Grace Belgravia, according to Wace, Daily Mail. Small world. So, there is a possibility the two have even already met there, although since Harry knew Meghan would be his guest at her wedding, I think he has already introduced them otherwise. The club cost €55,000 for a lifetime membership. Even more of a small world, the membership includes an entry physical exam by a doctor. The Queen's doctor. Perhaps Pippa even helped Meghan sign up there, or vica-versa. Or maybe the Queen suggested that.
