Meghan Enjoys Beauty Treatments in Soho Ahead of Pippa's Wedding!

It's the weekend we've been discussing for months! Meghan arrived at Heathrow Airport from Toronto on Tuesday night and was whisked straight to Kensington Palace where she is staying with Prince Harry this week ahead of the couple attending the wedding of Pippa Middleton and James Matthews in Berkshire tomorrow. Meghan was photographed today leaving a spa in Soho following beauty treatments including a soft pink manicure.

More from the Mail Online:

'Although anticipation is building over the dress Pippa will wear for her wedding to James Matthews, there is just as much buzz around the outfit the American will don. But so far her plans have been kept under wraps, although it is understood she will wear a hat.
Meanwhile, the Church of England has confirmed Ms Markle and Prince Harry could wed at Westminster Abbey if they were to get married. But the Prince would still require the Queen’s permission and it is believed the Archbishop of Canterbury would need to provide a special licence for any potential nuptials. Well-placed sources say the relationship is extremely serious, and that Meghan’s invitation to Pippa’s wedding is the ultimate endorsement, meaning she could be a potential princess.'

Meghan opted for a casual look with, a baseball cap, leggings and a jacket. Meghan carried the Mulberry Clifton Rosewater Small Classic Grain bag. The £725 piece is described: "The Clifton is a compact, understated shoulder bag that cleverly camouflages an organiser's paradise underneath its neat exterior. Internal compartments provide ample room for essentials, and the chain strap can be adjusted and styled in different ways. Signature press studs and a subtle Mulberry logo are the final embellishments."

With thanks to Meghan's Mirror Meghan's trainers are the Nike Flex style. They are available at 6 p.m. for $56.

Meghan on the cover of several of tomorrow's newspapers (with some rather "rear" focused headlines..).

Of course we're all looking forward to (hopefully) seeing what Meghan wears tomorrow. The Telegraph's Bethan Holt writes:

'Meghan Markle has reportedly arrived in London ahead of her appearance at Pippa Middleton's wedding to James Matthews on Saturday. Her invite to the society wedding of the year is the latest sign of her growing closeness to Prince Harry- and the Middleton-Cambridge clan. Her attendance at the ceremony, due to take place at St Mark's church in Englefield, Berkshire, will also add a new sartorial element to the day besides the sleek Middleton triumvirate of Pippa, Carole and Kate. As a relatively little-known style entity, Markle's choice of lookwill be a key moment in her gradual transition from  philanthropic, social-media star to de facto member of the royal family.'

According to Lainey Gossip, Meghan has had several fittings for the event:

'According to E! News, Meghan will be at the ceremony, the reception, and the after-party; in other words, she’s invited to all parts of the wedding, not just the reception as was initially suggested. E! News is also reporting that Meghan’s had two fittings in Toronto for the event.'

Whilst we still don't know for certain if we'll see Meghan at the ceremony, I think it's safe to say she'll likely opt for an elegant, classic look most likely teamed with a hat for the occasion. For Meghan's first polo appearance she opted for the Antonio Berardi Double Breasted Sleeveless Dress.

Below we see the feminine Brocade Insert Pencil Dress by the designer. This dress would look amazing with the right hat.

Meghan is very close friends with designer Misha Nonoo, according to the Telegraph: "Misha Nonoo, the wife of Old Etonian Alexander Gilkes, has been credited for introducing Markle to Prince Harry so it would only be natural for Markle to replay the favour by wearing a piece from Nonoo's collection which she shows in New York." Perhaps the designer will create a bespoke look?

Another brand Meghan favours is 'label of the moment', Self Portrait. Their much-loved Azaelea dress would be a lovely choice with a crisp jacket.

Do you have any style predictions for Meghan tomorrow?

This might seem too far fetched but I don't think she is getting her nails manicured just for the wedding. I have a feeling there is going to be an engagement announced soon.

    1. My guess is they won't announce an engagement on the heels of Pippa's wedding. However, I completely agree that she'll have a manicure before the announcement/photo op!

  2. Two things:
    - I've heard theories Meghan tips off the paps when she's in London. I don't think so, and I hope not. My guess is someone at the spa called it in??
    - Meghan is friends with the wife of an old Estonian? She already has friends in Harry's circle? That is good news; probably helps make it easier mixing in with a new crowd.

    Style predictions:
She will be respectful for an English church service (modest length and shoulders covered) to show she can dress the part as Harry's wife ;-) maybe what we can describe as a bit "proper". BUT I think it will have some of her personality in it - not as traditional, fun details, patterned, etc.

I can't wait to see tomorrow!!

    1. The paps know all the KP cars and spot them readily or follow them, especially during this frenzied time. They spotted Kate too and I doubt she tipped anyone off ;)

Not to mention any celeb spa, restaurant etc has people who love to tip off paps, never understood that but I suppose it's just the feeling of being part of something exciting, who knows.

Diana had a woman she went to for years and confided all kinds of things to her during their sessions (Simone someone, a Diana fan needs to help me out here!) and all the while this woman was taking weekly money from the tabloids to spill secrets. Sad.

    2. She doesn't tip off the paps when she's in London because we barely see her. The only other time I can remember her being papped in London was when she was buying flowers earlier this year. That's pretty much it, papped once or twice in London even though she was staying at KP for months.

    3. Meghan sure has connections, doesn't she? Seems she fits right into Harry's circle.

    4. There was an article months ago about Meghan's aristocratic friends. She does have a lot of famous and influential friends in her social sphere in addition to the aristocracy.

    5. Nice perspective 22:09. Makes sense.

  3. Looking forward to see what dress Meghan wears ! Hopefully pics with Harry too !

  4. I have to admit I am looking forward to seeing Meghan and Harry together, regardless where it's happening:) *If* it happens of course, they may play hide and seek with the cameras...

I suspect Meghan will go for something very elegant, classic and timeless, with maybe a slight nod to a trend, if that makes sense! The polo ensemble is a good indication of that, classic navy blue and white pairing, but a very fashionable cut to the dress. She's smart enough to know a lot of eyes are going to be on her.

I predict George and Charlotte, and Meghan and Harry (if photographed) will dominate the front pages. Though with the rain they may have a tented entrance set up so the view might be blocked, there could be a lot of disappointed people tomorrow!

The wedding itself I'm not that interested in. I think part of the media frenzy is the potential "photo op" for the Cambridge family on home turf, there's been only a few photo ops since George was born, and mostly on tour. And of course a Harry & Meghan sighting.

    1. Oh, I hope we get a clear view of H&M! I'd be so disappointed, otherwise...I think your style predictions for Meghan are spot on, Claudia. Elegant yet trendy, just like her polo outfit.

    2. I agree, Claudia. I would like to see the children in their wedding finery and Harry/Meghan. Other than that, I'm not that interested either.

I think Meghan has pretty good taste, so I imagine she'll look great. I wonder if she's going to go for a Hat, or if she'll do some wispy fascinator thingy.

  5. May I make one small request? Please don't use "invite" instead of "invitation." Until very recent usage, "invite" was only a verb. (I realize that it is used constantly in the mass media.)
I absolutely love this blog, as well as your other one, and you write so beautifully otherwise. (I'm a former English teacher. I hope you'll humor this old lady!)

  6. "Wedding of the rears!" Good grief! I hope the media doesn't start that again with this wedding...leave their bottoms out of it, please.

    1. Honestly! I couldn't agree more. And I would love someone to tell me, what is the fascination with bums, what am I missing?

      Delete
    2. Haha, Claudia, I don't get the obsession with their rear ends, either! Yes, they have nice bums, but why focus on it? I find it quite vulgar & demeaning.

    3. Good question Claudia. Perplexing to me also.

    4. I very much agree, Kiwi Gal.

    5. Well if you look at Kate's wedding, Pippa's dress was tailored to show off her shape, and Meghan has a nice shape too.

Although I agree. Leave the bums out of it.

    6. I still don't understand why all the Pippa bum hype from 6 years ago! Especially since that dress wasn't bodycon, by any means. Bored media, I guess! (And there is so much going on no need for them to be bored!)

    7. You've got a point there, bluhare. It did accentuate her shape, but I was surprised by all the 'fanfare' over her bottom...I didn't really notice till the media pointed it out.

      Delete
    8. Well, I am sure those articles are written by men...

    9. The dress wasn't body con by skin tight standards but if you look at it from the rear it was tailored to give Pippa a definite hourglass shape. It goes in significantly until the knee and then flares out.

  7. I forgot to add: The Azaelea dress you displayed, Charlotte, is very nice. I'd love to see that paired with her white blazer from the polo & topped off with a lovely hat. I think she could wear anything & look great!

  8. Love your dress ideas, Charlotte. I hope she does show gratitude to Misha Nonoo by wearing at least one outfit of hers to Pippa's two outfit wedding. :)

  9. I'm so glad to see the Meghan some of us know and love wearing her casual clothing that brings out her down to earth nature!!!
I would like to believe she is not letting anyone know when she is visiting. That's really not the kind of person she has been in the past. She likes to be out like an average person. Casual clothes off the rack by day and black tie at night. That is where she came from and how shes been even up to this point. Just my opinion.
I too agree with Claudia that she will wear an outfit that is elegant, yet trendy and respectable! She is a very inteligent woman knowing she will be under extreme scrutiny. What she wears shouldnt matter, but, I know it does.
I love that Harry has fallen for her knowing how down to earth she is.... Im sure she could wear a bread sack and still look stunning in his eyes...(and ours)... Please do forgive my grammar at present all I have is my phone... not my computer.
Also AGREED... everyone is so obsessed with everyone else's behind... I do not understand this myself?

  10. I really can't believe the horrible headlines, it's a wonder she's willing to hang around when she has to put up with rubbish like that. Poor Harry, he probably apologises on the media's behalf every time she has to see stuff like this.

  11. I guess no one questions if she leaks things. I find it very odd the E news knew when she landed and where at and was supposed to meet someone for drinks. Later vanity Fair questions how does E know all this including who she was meeting for drinks. This in turn had E change the details in the article like an hour later. I don't just find it weird. I hope she's not leaking stuff. LS

    1. One of her best friends works for E is my understanding. Whether Meghan gave the OK or whether someone there took it upon themselves I do not know.

And almost all celebrities or people who know there whereabouts leak things. How else would you explain photos of celebrities taken in out of the way locations? I even think Kate wasn't above leaking her whereabouts when she and William broke up so he could see photos in the papers of her looking fabulous.

  12. Charlotte fashion detail regarding this outfit - she is wearing a Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball hat. Another example of her adopting her new hometown. I think this speaks well to how she embraces her new home(s) and how I think she would embrace London/England/UK when she makes the move.

  13. Gee, it sure feels like there should texts here about Meghan at Pippa's wedding. Oh. Wait. That's right. She wasn't invited to Pippa's wedding. She was sitting in London during the wedding, not Englefield. Without Harry.

    1. No Meghan at the wedding ceremony made me sad :( But seeing her & Harry in the car arriving at the reception made me a bit happier! Hope there's better photos out there...

    2. Surfer girl, chill will you, she was there, harry drove here to the reception there''s even a photo of them in the car on there way. She really didn't want to upstage the bride that is all. She has class!

  17. I don't know why Meghan had to miss out on the wedding. Sadly she did though. Left at the Palace all by her lonesome. That's okay. We'll just see who Meghan invites to Westminster Abbey, lol.
    (Juuuust kidding.)
