Meghan in Summery Club Monaco Dress for Suits Pilot Reading

Meghan Markle joined her Suits castmates for a special script reading of the pilot episode of the series to commemorate their upcoming 100th episode at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas. The appearance has been billed as Meghan's return to the spotlight - she has been keeping an increasingly low profile of late.

Meghan makes a stylish entrance.

The cast including Gabriel Macht, Patrick J Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman and Gina Torres gathered for the event.

More on the reading and panel "After six seasons of smooth-talking, case-closing twists and turns, USA Network and Universal Cable Productions’ hit legal drama SUITS is going back to the beginning with a live table read of the original pilot episode at the ATX Television Festival. Join executive producer and creator Aaron Korsh, alongside the full, original cast, as they reflect on the show’s key moments, tease what’s to come in Season 7 (premiering July 12th on USA Network) and celebrate their upcoming 100th episode milestone."

A look at the pilot script from the Suits Instagram Page.

ATX Television Festival is a four-day event that celebrates the television medium: looking back at its history, where it is now, and where it is headed. The festival consists of panels, screenings, and events where attendees and leaders in the TV industry talk, watch, and experience television together as one community. The choice of shows is enormously varied with current hits such as This Is Us, Nashville, Fargo and The Son featured, there's also fan favourites Alias and Northern Exposure at the festival this year.

More on the content of the festival:

'Heading into our 6th Season, ATX focuses on TV’s past, current, and upcoming series through screening Q&As and panel discussions. This programming ranges from never picked up pilots, reunions, current series going into a new season, to premiering content from upfronts, summer, or online. Panel discussions can be 1:1 conversations, featuring a single show, or are focused on a topic that pulls professionals from a variety of shows and features such topics as the ratings system, series finales, and testing/focus groups. And with 50/50 split between fan and industry, ATX Television Festival is a unique festival event that stems from a true celebration of the medium.'

After the fun read, the cast answered questions about the show. Meghan recalled how the cast "became a family right out of the gate" and discussed the journey and growth of her character Rachel Zane. It was a very lighthearted panel with plenty of fun moments.

From People:

'She mostly stuck to the script, although there was one cute moment when she recognized material from her audition. “Oh my God, I remember this,” said Markle, breaking in a scene about her character struggling with the LSAT as a memory comes to mind. “I think this is my audition scene.” She then paused and motioned to creator Aaron Korsh, who was sitting next to her.'

The entire read can be viewed on the Suits Facebook Page.

Meghan looked lovely in the Club Monaco Sinthea Dress (with thanks to the team at Star Style). The dress is a feminine summery choice with a pleated skirt, structured bodice, delicate ladder stitching and a sweetheart neckline. The dress features a striking red French toile print which makes it an elegant and versatile piece.

Another look at the piece on Meghan.

The dress retails for $329 and is currently available at Club MonacoSpring,  Zalando and ShopBop.

Meghan's Style identified Meghan's shoes as the celebrity favourite - Stuart Weitzman Nudist Sandals. The $398 sandals can be seen at virtually every high profile event. They are a truly drool-worthy style!

Great to see the Suits cast together, Meghan looked impeccable in her summery chic look!

  1. If they have made it to their 100th show that is significant because now when the show is rerun
they will get financial compensation for each rerun. Those payments are called "residuals".
It used to be that way. I am guessing it still is.
    Anyone know about that?

Love the dress. I have only met very few sundresses I didn't like. :)
I love the spaghetti straps. Love the color. Love the French toile.

Funny she encountered her audition lines.
She should have those artfully printed and framed and put in the perfect place on a wall of she and Harry's newly renovated large Kensington apartment. 🏰

  2. I love toile. Just adore it, and I like the dress too. She does have a good sense of style, doesn't she?

    1. There you are bluhare! Nice to see you, I was getting a bit worried. Wondered if you were MIA with Kate, taking up adult colouring and the like... ;)

And quite right, few things better than toile I completely agree.

    2. BIA . . . Bored in Action is more like it. I want Harry to hurry up and propose to Meghan!

    3. I like that bluhare :)

    4. Wasnt it James Whatling who said "Can't we as a nation just ask her to marry Harry?" (or words to that effect).

    5. Whoever it was, I wish he'd go propose to her right now.

    6. me too. :) Hurry up Harry. 💍

  3. Cute dress! The festival sounds so cool, I love Northern Exposure & Alias...brings back memories :) Meghan & her castmates seem like a real tight-knit group.

    1. Northern Exposure was filmed right up the freeway from where I work. :) And Twin Peaks just up the freeway from there. I imagine the cafe is getting a resurgence of requests for damn fine cherry pie!

    2. Washington state is where it's at! :) That is so cool & interesting to know! Did you ever get a chance to wander over onto the set & appear as an extra? ;)

  4. New pic of her leaving Austin. And while there she stayed in separate hotel, used back entrance to avoid press, and declined all interviews. More proof an announcement is coming people! So excited!

    1. Thanks for sharing, 04:57. That is truly significant, in my opinion. Very significant. Particularly for an actress.

Does anyone know when they wrap up filming this season?

    2. I think I read November but don't quote me.

    3. thanks. that might have some bearing on proposal time, or maybe not. that's why I was asking.

(It would no doubt boost "Suits" ratings even more if she finishes out this season's filming as the fiance' of a Prince.)

  5. Cute. She does have a good sense of style. But the dress didn't flatter her. It looks like it doesn't hang right on her

    1. You're right about the fit, I thought she looked a tad pregnant in the last photo (now that's a way to start rumours!)...& the dress looked better on the model, IMHO. But still a cute dress & she looked as gorgeous as ever!

    2. I kind of agree but I think it might be the photos, no good clear shots of her alone. I didn't think it was her best look either.

    3. Those shoes are amazing and compliment the style and color of the dress so nicely. Beautiful shoes. 👠

    4. Kiwi Gal, I was going to say that but didn't. lol
At first, I had to do a double take as my mind was very quickly raising the "What? Is she pregnant?" question. No. She isn't. She will not like the majority of those photos. The dress was too high-waisted since there was too much fabric in all but the very pretty top part. You are right, it looked good on the model. I liked Meghan's shoes with the dress better than the beige ones. Did Meghan still shine. Yes. :)

    5. LOL, surfer girl, I had to do a double take also...maybe it was wishful thinking on my part! ;) But yes, it's definitely all the fabric making it look baggy. The red shoes with the dress are perfect :)

  7. Charlotte I'll admit I didn't watch the video! But I did read that before Meghan spoke, her co-star apparently said "Are you going to do it in a British accent?" And everyone laughed. Did anyone see that, another slip of the tongue perhaps ;)

Meghan looks very pretty in that dress. Btw, do we know how tall she is? It occurred to me me today she is probably shorter than Kate, even in high heels. In the picture of the whole group, most of them are taller. I kind of like it when the man is substantially taller than the woman (e. g. like Prince Philip and HM) so from this point of view I gladly give my consent to her and Harry :) :) :)

    1. Zora, I googled that and it says Meghan is 5'7".
      (born 8/4/1981) Maybe a proposal on 8/4? :)

  9. It is a beautiful sundress but I agree that the fit of the dress on Meghan was not the best at all. Her exuberance and smile certainly made up for that though, in my opinion. I think that when she sees the fit of the dress in photos she will undoubtedly go "uh oh". That's why it is best to not just look in the mirror at important outfits but also via photos prior to wearing an outfit.

  11. There are photos of her leaving in shorts and a different pair of sandals!

I imagine this was bittersweet for her, as I feel she's leaving the show in the very near future. Seeing her comfort level is another thing that is a huge asset she'll bring the BRF.

    1. She's been out on her own and forged a niche for herself. She grew up with "Hollywood" in a way since she used to frequently visit after school the television studios where her father was an Emmy-award-winning lighting director, reportedly. And her success in "Suits" has given her opportunity to mingle with leaders. And she has known Hillary Clinton since she was 11. She is a college graduate who is working in both of her chosen fields, Performing Arts, and International Relations. (how many actually work in their degree fields?) So she brings a lot of strengths to the table. The girls got skills. :) She does seem to be very much "in the moment" and comfortable with herself. And in "Hollywood" and on the world stage no less. And with the new "low profile" she is creating for herself the question as to whether she has adaptability for things royal seems to be being answered.

    2. Surfer Girl you don't have to sell her on me I agree!! She also worked for the UN in Brazil her first year after university, I think. She has a VERY impressive resume. WHile royals support the arts, I think with her acting & Hollywood background she could really step into that - she can relate firsthand and be genuinely passionate. She can balance that with her international humanitarian work. I think as long as she and Harry can negotiate royal protocol (for her sanity) she'll be a fabulous addition!

I think her "low profile" is temporary as they sort out getting to the engagement and wedding. Once they're married I think she'll work full-time, as opposed to Kate. It isn't a slight to Kate, I just suspect Meghan needs that satisfaction more.

Did you hear about Mike Tindall saying he can't wait to meet her, talk about the show with her, and see if she can get him a guest appearance as a bouncer? With her gregarious personality she'll hit it off well, at least with those in the family that matter most to Harry.

    3. AH, I did read that about Mike Tindall. That would be fun to have him written into the script for an episode or so. :)
Meghan will have easier assimilation into the Royal family these days since Kate, Mike, Autumn, Sophie, Eugenie's boyfriend are all "commoners" who have lived in the "real" world.

  12. Laura Lambert's article was titled, "Casual or Sultry....
Meghan's Travel Attire". (I forgot to include that in the thread above.)

  13. Yes, apparently she "grew up" on the set of "Married...With Children," the series her father worked on as lighting director. The show was a bit of a farce, but there were some actors who are respected and talented performers.

  15. There is a very unique photo of Harry in The Express today. "Meghan Introduces Harry", Sofia Petkar.

The article suggests that Meghan may be planning to introduce Harry to the members of her "Suits" family.
The photo of Harry in that article is a very unique one of him in the carriage at the Trooping of the Colors. It is from an angle or perspective that they don't often do. His expression is very contemplative and he is either looking at Camilla or just beyond. The photo is very different. I don't know how to do the link thing or I would. It is a photo that is worth visiting, in my opinion.
If someone could add the link here that would be cool. :)
