Harry and Meghan's Stunning Official Wedding Portraits Released!

Harry and Meghan's official wedding portraits have been released and they are nothing short of perfect! The photo of the newlyweds below was taken on the steps of the East Terrace of Windsor Castle. I think you'll agree it's absolutely breathtaking - the epitome of romance and joy - depicting two people in love. The couple selected well-known fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski, who took their engagement portraits, to take the photos and he did an outstanding job.

Harry and Meghan with a very happy looking bridal party (I imagine the photographer asked them to say "cheese" moments before this was taken). In the back row: Brian Mulroney, Remi Litt, Rylan Litt, Jasper Dyer, Prince George, Ivy Mulroney and John Mulroney. In the front row it's Zalie Warren, Princess Charlotte and Florence van Cutsem.

The Palace said:

'The images were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski in The Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle, following the carriage procession. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their wedding on Saturday. They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and also all those who watched the wedding on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world. Their Royal Highnesses are delighted with these official portraits taken by Alexi Lubomirski and are happy to be able to share them today. They would also like to say thank you for all of the generous messages of support they have received.'

A delightful image of Harry and Meghan with the Queen, Prince Philip, Doria Ragland, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Cambridges and the page boys and bridesmaids. The white, green and black colour scheme works wonderfully against the backdrop of the room.

In 1992 the fire at Windsor Castle severely damaged the Semi-State Rooms, including the Green Drawing Room. By good fortune however, the contents of the rooms had been removed at the time. Each room was subsequently restored to its nineteenth-century appearance using the original designs supplied to George IV. This watercolour shows the Green Drawing Room after restoration.

The Green Drawing Room in 1848.

In recent times, the Queen's official 90th birthday portrait with her two youngest grandchildren and five great-grandchildren was shot by Annie Leibovitz in the Green Drawing Room.

Alexi Lubomirski described the commission as an "honour":

“It has been an incredible honour and privilege to document The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's inspiring journey of love, hope and family; from the engagement photos, all the way through to the official wedding and family portraits on Saturday. This has been a beautiful chapter in my career and life, that I will happily never forget."

It's been quite a journey for the pair from the newly engaged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to TRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Following the release of the photos, the Duke and Duchess were photographed arriving back at Kensington Palace. You can view more at the Daily Mirror.

Royal Wedding Updates

We also have several royal wedding updates to share. For those wondering what happened to Meghan's bouquet - it was sent to Westminster Abbey and place on the grave of the Unknown Warrior. This is a tradition which was begun by HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, at her marriage to King George VI in memory of her brother Fergus who was killed in 1915 at the Battle of Loos during the First World War. The bouquet was designed by florist Philippa Craddock and comprises sweet pea forget-me-not, lily of the valley, astilbe, jasmine, astrantia and myrtle. The Warrior’s Grave stands as a remarkable tribute both to the fallen of the First World War and to all those who have died since in international military conflict. In 1920, the Reverend David Railton, a First World War army padre, suggested that an unknown soldier from the battlefield should be brought back to Britain for burial as a representative for all who had died. The grave remains a focus for pilgrimage and a powerful symbol, known across the world, of the sacrifice, suffering and bravery brought by war. It is the only grave or memorial in the Abbey which is never walked over.

The couple sent the majority of the flowers from St George's Chapel to St Joseph's Hospice in London. Hello! reports  "The Hackney-based health care facility took to their Facebook page on Sunday to share pictures of their "very special delivery". St Joseph's wrote in the caption: "A big thank you to Harry and Meghan and florist Philippa Craddock. Our hospice smells and looks gorgeous. Such a lovely gesture."

It was a treat to see sketches of Meghan's gown and to hear from designer Clare Waight Keller on the creative process.

The Telegraph reports:

'Birmingham-born Clare Waight Keller - the first female Artistic Director at French fashion house Givenchy - revealed the new Duke of Sussex spoke to her after the ceremony in St George's Chapel, Windsor, on Sunday. "He came straight up to me and he said 'oh my God, thank you, she looks absolutely stunning'," she said. "So I think for the both of them, they were just radiant at that time," she said. The designer added: "Well I think everybody saw on television - he was absolutely in awe, I think. She looked just incredible and it showed."
Ms Waight Keller also revealed she was told by the Duchess in early January that she was the chosen designer. She said: "It was an extraordinary moment when she told me. Of course it's an incredible thing to be part of such a historic moment." Ms Waight Keller said the process was collaborative, adding: "I think she had very much seen my work and knew what I did.
"I think she loved the fact that I was a British designer, and working in a house such as Givenchy which has its roots in a very classical, beautiful style. Ms Waight Keller said over time they quickly got to a point where the Duchess felt she knew exactly what she wanted after various meetings and trials.
This meant that the designer got to know her, and she said of the new Duchess of Sussex: "She's exactly what you see on TV. She's just so genuine and warm and radiant. She's just glowing. "She's a strong woman. She knows what she wants, and it was really an absolute joy working with her."

Meanwhile, Stella McCartney described Meghan choosing her design for the evening reception as "the most humbling moment" of her career. “I am so proud and honored to have been chosen by the Duchess of Sussex to make her evening gown and represent British design,” McCartney told Women’s Wear Daily in an interview published Sunday. It has truly been one of the most humbling moments of my career, and I am so proud of all the team on this stunning royal day.”

Meghan's hairstylist Serge Normant revealed it took just 45 minutes to style Meghan's hair for the wedding. More from the Mail Online:

'Describing how long it took him to style Meghan's hair, the French-born hair stylist, 52, explained: 'You know not that long, believe it or not. 'We had to blow dry it from wet, I would say 45 minutes to an hour. Then they did the make-up and then you fiddle around with it a little bit. But it's not that long.'I always tend to try and go as fast as I can at these events. Nobody wants to sit around.'
The hairdresser described the look as a 'messy bun', a style that Meghan has frequently sported in the past. 'It's a messy bun, we call it. Messy in a controlled way,' he said. 'Making sure it doesn't become a whole mess after a few hours! I don't overload the hair with products in general and certainly not on this day.'

The Telegraph revealed details from inside the Frogmore House reception:

'The new Duke and Duchess of Sussex partied into the small hours after their wedding ceremony with fireworks, a playlist of soul classics and a DJ slot from Idris Elba, the Telegraph can reveal. The newlyweds, who had woken that morning as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are said to have eschewed a slow first dance for livelier tunes, from 1960s R&B to the dance hits of the 1980s.
They are said to have chosen "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" as an opening number, with guests treated to a sit-down dinner after a long day in front of the cameras at Windsor Castle. James Corden, one of the guests, was reported to have acted as compere for the evening, with a “surprise” some speculated may have seen Harry Styles, the former One Direction singer, perform after he was spotted in the area the next morning.
Late into the evening, a dramatic firework display was seen over the house, with guests finally leaving around 2am to go back to their hotels or nearby. Older guests, including the Prince of Wales, Earl and Countess of Wessex, Duke of York and Doria Ragland, the bride’s mother, were able to retire earlier if they wished.
Speeches, including from Meghan herself, were also expected at the evening reception where the couple were to take their first dance. The bride, now a fully-fledged Duchess, sweetly complimented her new husband and expressing her joy at being welcomed into his family. The Prince reportedly earlier moved some guests to tears when he described his new bride as having "navigated everything with such grace", adding: "We make such a great team."
The groom and his brother, best man the Duke of Cambridge, made moving references to their late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, who Prince Harry has previously said would have adored his new wife. Charlie van Straubenzee, a friend of the family, is reported to have joined the best man in teasing the groom mercilessly.'

The Mirror reports George Clooney danced with both the bride and the Duchess of Cambridge. Meghan gave a speech thanking the royal family for welcoming her in with a special mention to Prince Charles. She reportedly concluded with "I have found my Prince".

A fantastic time-lapse video from the BBC.

The Duchess of Sussex

Shortly after the wedding, The Duchess of Sussex page went live on the royal website. The background information focuses on Meghan's charitable work to date.

'The Duchess of Sussex, born Meghan Markle, married Prince Harry at St George's Chapel, Windsor in May 2018. The couple's official residence is Kensington Palace. As well as undertaking royal duties in support of The Queen, both in the UK and overseas, The Duchess devotes her time to supporting a number of charities and organisations.
From a young age, The Duchess had a keen awareness of social issues and actively participated in charitable work. Aged 11 she successfully campaigned for a company to alter their television advert that had used sexist language to sell washing-up liquid. Her Royal Highness also volunteered at a soup kitchen in Skid Row, Los Angeles from the age of 13-17. She continued to volunteer at the soup kitchen when she would return home to Los Angeles until the age of 22.
These early experiences helped to shape her lifelong commitment to causes such as social justice and women's empowerment.
While filming in Toronto, The Duchess actively volunteered at a Canadian soup kitchen from 2011-2013. She also established the program at her place of work to ensure that leftover meals from the set were donated to local homeless shelters.'

Meghan has been officially added to the social media pages covering the Kensington Palace royals.

Meghan plans to fight for women's rights and throw herself into her new role.

Hannah Furness elaborated on what we can expect from the Duchess during her "incredibly busy" first year:

'The newlywed Duchess of Sussex has been given the blessing of the palace to use her position to fight for feminism, as she plans her life as the newest member of the Royal family. The Duchess, known as Meghan Markle until her wedding to Prince Harry on Saturday, is expected to announce which charities and campaigns she will support when she returns from honeymoon in the coming weeks.
The Duchess will immediately join her new husband, and in-laws the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, at their Royal Foundation. The prominent inclusion of such causes on the official Royal Family website indicates the direction the new Duchess plans to take with her charitable endeavors.
A source said: "As you will have seen with this generation of the Royal family, and in particular their Royal Foundation, they have a very modern and exciting outlook about how they are going to approach their philanthropic and charitable work. Meghan is going to be a brilliant addition."
The Duchess has been working behind-the-scenes for months to create a blueprint for her focus as a working member of the Royal family, which could also involve her promoting the work of the Diana Award for youngsters who champion social change. She told guests at her wedding reception, including the chief executive of the Diana Award, that she would “love” to get involved in their campaign work, saying: “That’s why I am here, bring it on.”
They are expected to slip away on honeymoon privately later this month, before returning to a full schedule of overseas tours, including trips to the Netherlands and Australia, and charity work closer to home. The Duke, who appeared emotional throughout the wedding ceremony, paid moving tribute to his wife at their reception, praising her “grace” and telling her:  "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

I'm very excited to see the remainder of the year unfold.

Tomorrow, Harry and Meghan will attend the Prince of Wales' 70th birthday patronage celebration in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

  1. WOW!! I'm loving everything about these. The black and white photo is stunning. Her hair looks fantastic here. Most importantly, they look so happy and in love <3

The kids look so cute in the photo with just H&M. So great to see George smiling!

    2. You see sadness whereas all I see is love. The only person missing who would have been there is her father. Her grandparents are dead and she doesn't have a relationship with her half-siblings so they were never going to be there. I think it's a beautiful choice by the photographer, posing the royal family in way that envelops Meghan and her mom, almost like a cocoon.--GG

    4. What a wonderful image, a warm cocoon. I expect whatever sadness Meghan felt for her broken family relationships has been eclipsed by the joy and radiance of this day. Her mother and Charles apparently became fast friends, which is lovely. Many of us form families that aren't by blood.

    5. How lovely and serene Doria looks in that family photo. She’s a beautiful woman. ☺️

    6. I assume she has family on her mother's side (aunts/uncles? cousins?), but she did not invite them in the interest of fairness as she didn't invite anyone on her father's side.

      Delete
    7. GG, I meant that *I* felt sad, not that anyone in the picture looked sad. It was a beautifully composed picture, a great background.

    8. No, that's not why she did not invite the mother's side, if your suggestion was the case the decision would truly be unfair.

Doria and Meghan interacted a lot with Doria's side of the gamily when Doria's mother was still alive, after she died, they drifted a part. Doria also like her daughter Meghan i.e she has half siblings.

  4. These are gorgeous, especially the first one on the steps!!! Harry looks so happy. And I think Meghan's hair looks better in the photo than it did throughout the last half of the ceremony when it was starting to fall out of place. I'm sure she had someone on hand for touch-ups throughout the day/evening.

    1. I'm losing the charm of a deliberately "messy bun", because too often the operative word is messy. I'm sure, like Kate, Meghan's public style will evolve with her new role. I think she's going to do a fantastic job.

Beautiful shining Meghan front and center - as any bride should be! ;-))
Maybe with the possible exception of the two of them alone - where Harry´s happy face (YEAH - she´s MINE now!!!!!) takes (happy) center stage!

Since I´ve seen the sketches of the dress I must admit (jokingly) that maybe Mrs Keller should have followed the Emanuels´example and grab a cab to Windsor to measure the width of the aisle, so that that beautiful veil would not have had to be "squeezed" through the aisle.... Fully framing her beautiful body as it was supposed to be it would have truly complemented the dress - instead, the veil got partly tucked behind her body and the beautiful embroidery couldn´t really be seen in its full glory..... Ah well, perfection isn´t always the most important thing - two incredibly happy people very much in love should be most important on a wedding day - and we most certainly couldn´t have any "complaints" in that department!!! :-))

    1. I agree with you on the gown/veil Eve!

When I saw the designers sketches I got what it should have looked like. Unfortunately in reality it looked different and maybe you are right...because the veil couldnˋt unfold its full beauty.

      Delete
    2. Yes and if veil had been completely unfurled, we would be able to see the beautiful colors from the stained-glass windows dappling on her veil. You can see it a bit in the first altar pictures, but my mind goes to what might have been.

    5. I understand the comments about the veil, but I think it was too long and the material too lightweight for it to "cooperate." A heavier train, on the other hand, is more likely to do so.

I really loved Camilla's hat. I think I have liked everyone she has worn as she really likes big and feathery. And pink to boot. The one I thought was really stunning was the one Charles Spencer's wife was wearing but that whole outfit was a stand out for me.

    6. I think I'd have really liked Camilla's hat if it had a shape to it. It just looks like a circle with fluffy stuff. Maybe a little height or at least the shape of her head with the fluffy brim? Then I think i'd have been all over it.

  29. Ah! And so the loveliness of the build up to the nuptials, the ceremony and post-ceremony celebrations continues. There have been so many moments of originality, deep emotion, beauty and grace throughout.

In so very many ways the differences--each element a smashing success in its own unique way--blended into royal tradition are touchstones for a new era in royalty. A relaxed-regal if you will.

The cake and the way it was displayed was beyond amazing. The colours in the green room put to rest any idea of Doria's ensemble clashing with the Queen's. Rather, like the infinite shades of green in a forest they blended into a stunning whole. Charles's solicitous attention toward Doria. The gifting of blooms to hospice. The royal males (except for Charles) wearing a white rose in memory of Diana. The symbolism and truths inherent the music and texts. The diversity of the many people who contributed to various elements of the service. The way the Mulroney lad's face and body lit up with joy when trumpet fanfare began. Who hasn't been blown away like that or can't help recalling such a goosebump moment? The light which bathed Meghan like an anointing as she started down the aisle. That tableau in and of itself was akin to the paintings of some great master. The absolute adoration on the part of both Meghan and Harry. It never stopped being deeply moving. Perhaps I'm gushing, but.

It's being estimated that nearly two billion people world-side shared this day with them. Wow! That's a lot of "love in this old world."

    2. “The royal males (except for Charles) wearing a white rose in memory of Diana.”

I’m not sure about this. Prince Edward was wearing a red flower, and Earl Spencer did not wear a flower at all. If there was some concerted effort to use the white rose in memory of Diana, surely these two would have been wearing it. I even think Prince Charles would have worn one if Harry had asked him to. But I did love the nods to Diana that were included in the ceremony, including the bridal bouquet and Lady Jane’s reading. I was glad to hear that both William and Harry mentioned her during their reception speeches as well :)

  30. These photos are absolutely classic! I know i'm in the minority but I love the simplistic nature of the gown. Somehow it allows her personality and beauty to shine through. I feel the gown really compliments both the church and the palace. Some of those photos at the church looked like artwork. So to me that means the dress served its purpose.

Harry and Meghan radiate happiness and are a welcome respite from all the awful news taking place.

    4. Me too, post wedding blues. I was so looking forward to the wedding, that it feels a bit flat now. It was a little bit of fantasy away from the hum drum of everyday life.I have been following this romance from the start and sometimes I feel embarrassed that I know so much about them😂. All my friends have been commenting on the wedding but to me Meghan almost feels like someone I know. One friend said , I give it 3 years and I actually felt upset. The photos are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing them tomorrow. sinead

  34. Anyone notice that Ivy Mulroney isn't wearing a flower crown or carrying flowers up the aisle? I wonder why...?

    1. I noticed the hair, I think she had some flowers in the back but no idea why she did not wear the piece on top of her like all the other girls. I have not watched the wedding just saw pictures, but did she do the same thing as the other girls? At first I thought maybe she was the oldest girl but she isn't.

Ivy had the honor of carrying Bride’s bouquet which Meghan gave to her as she walked by at the altar. So precious! 😘💕

      Delete
    3. Also in the photos I am not sure what happened? Does the bouquet go with Ivy or Grace? They seem to be short one in the processional photos and in the official wedding photos. Ivy does have flowers in the back of her hair.

      Delete
    4. I noticed that instead of a wreath, she had flowers at the back of her head, securing her half up hairstyle. The reason she didn’t have flowers coming down the aisle is she was the bridesmaid Meghan gave her bouquet to hold during the ceremony.

      Delete
    5. Mimi, thanks, that makes sense.

      Delete
    6. when you watch the children enter, Ivy is in the middle of the first row of girls holding both girls hands. I heard somewhere that the run throughs early in the week were a disaster with the kids. I think that some of the girls balked at walking unless holding hands. Ivy was in the middle, perhaps they made the decision to ditch the posies so she could hold the other girls hands and maybe the flower crown was impractical in that arrangement as well. I did notice Meghan handing Ivy her flowers and that could also have been improvised during the rehearsals.

  35. I wanted to comment on Duchess Meghan's bio. It reads like the quintessential CV for someone in the Royal Family. This woman found her path and passions early on and has used her star status to highlight worthy causes. Prince Charles is right, America's loss is truly Britain's gain. Meghan is an asset to the BRF. She has a strong work ethic and won't need help "finding her voice." I'm so looking forward to seeing how the future unfolds for she and Prince Harry!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love the photos, but what I'm thrilled about is that finally Harry has found true love. He looks so happy. Diana is smiling down on her boys. They have the loving marriages that eluded her.
I wanted to ask if anyone else noticed that all three of the men-Charles, William, and Harry-are all married to older women. I wonder if that helps them to be more settled. Charles has someone his own age and with whom he has much in common. I read years ago that Kate takes charge at home. That could be because she has had a normal family upbringing. I also read that some describe Meghan as "mum"- like to Harry, but as he was only twelve when Diana died, she may be just what he needs. Thoughts?
Now I'm looking forward to a new royal baby, hopefully soon!

    1. That's a good observation, Chris! Maybe they all just like more mature women! Although, the age-gap between Harry and Meghan is the greatest, correct? Will and Kate are only a few months apart.

I'm with you there! I'm already looking forward to a new royal baby! H&M will make great parents!

    2. Zora from Prague21 May 2018 at 21:38

Interesting observation, Chris. I didn't realise it. Could it be that after the unhappy marriage of Charles and Diana, where Diana was so much younger and almost a girl when they got married, their sons subconsciously looked for more mature women who would be better "equipped" for dealing with all the strains and difficulties of royal life?

      Delete
    3. W&K met in university and I do believe that Kate's happy and grounded upbringing was part of the attraction. It was a bit different with H&M, given how they met, but I do think that her "stronger" personality works in the relationship for the reasons mentioned here. C&C, well, Charles was raised by older nannies and the QM was a very influential figure in his life, so I think he is drawn to older women.

  37. These photos are gorgeous - much warmer and more personal than Will and Kate's IMHO. I thought everything about this wedding was perfect. Loved both dresses and thought they were very much in keeping with Meghan's style. Love her profile on the website too - you can tell she is very much calling the shots on how she is perceived by the public. Love her!!!

  41. What glorious pictures! They couldn't be more beautiful. Meghan's quote: "I have found my Prince", made me cry again. I watched the ceremony again last night, and I will never forget Harry's expression as he watched his bride coming down the aisle towards him, and their new life together. It said it all. May their years together be richly blessed with love and companionship.

    Beautiful, Natural, Exquisite
The photos could not have been better.
    The composition is perfect.
    Everyone looked very happy.
Loved the background settings. (All of them Royal.)

Now we know why Doria and the Queen wore green.
    Perfect bookends for the couple.
    Perfect with the green background.
Must be a favorite spot for the Queen.

Loved how Doria is so close to her daughter in the photo.

LOVED that Prince Phillip is in the photo, dapper even at almost 100 years old. Big hugs to you, Sir. 🤗

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this photographer. Love his aesthetic. He really planned and I like that. Did he take the James Bond photos of Meghan in the Stella McCartney gown?

  45. My favorite is the family picture. Price George steals the show! He looks so happy on both group pics! I don't think I've seen him smile that wide before.

I love that you can see "units" in the picture. H M D look very well-bonded and W K G C make a very apparent family unit. I feel bad for Kate, it looks like she's trying to hide behind Charlotte. I can't blame her! Her dress looks a lot more yellow now than in previous pics. I guess it's the royal version of the blue dress / gold dress! lol

I'm in the minority but I actually like Camilla's hat! I saw some high res pictures online and it's a true work of art how the feathers were arranged into a rosette pattern.

In the video, Meghan's dress looked a little shapeless but I like how much better it photographs! I'm also living for her tiara. In suits her face really well! I agree that it's a shame her veil got cut off in the pictures.

"The Mirror reports George Clooney danced with both the bride and the Duchess of Cambridge." I couldn't stop laughing at this! Getting serious "Downton Abbey" vibes!

Later on my parents got divorced. Now, that Iˋm 36 I know that this has always been a lack/deficit in my life which unfortunately I always tried to fill with other man/relationships (and obviously it didnˋt work out). Hope that for Harry it isntˋt the same...that Meghan fills the emptiness his mother has left in his life. I hope and wish that Meghan is the right person on his side...on a professional level as well as on a personal level...this handsome man only deserves to be happy after what he must have experienced after the death of Diana. And love seeing him so happy and in love...for me this is the highlight of this lovestory...that Harry found his place 💕

I was really hoping that they would.

The songs by Etta James that Meghan had played as they were outside the Church, “Amen/This Little Light of Mine”, were anthem songs for Martin Luther’s King’s campaigns for civil rights in the 60’s. That and “We Shall Overcome”. They didn’t play that one. Meghan and Doria have overcome. 🤗

They had two weeks leading up to the wedding following the narrative of the evil step siblings and then the father updating TMZ. It was looking like a disaster. The photos are lovely!! I like all three - interesting that Meghan isn't wearing the veil in the black and white one but it is not a minus point! (The veil was probably too large for such an intimate picture or they didn't want it to get creased). The portrait is just beautiful and Harry looks so happy...! I think my favourite one is the photo with the Queen and Prince Philip. It has a great composition and a fresh springy feel to it thanks to the colours! I saw the photo of Meghan and Harry alone on a magazine site and I realized while at first glance I thought it was lovely, when I saw it earlier on this site, but looking again I do not like the way the two hair pieces hang down on the sides, I find I am distracted by them and they look too "styled" in contrast to the rest of the photo. 65. These photos are wonderful! The B&W of Harry and Meghan is beautiful and the photo with the kids is great. I love that the kids aren't lined up and stiff as in so many wedding photos, but relaxed and having fun. Does anyone else think those adorable twins have a Professor Snape mini me vibe going? (lol)

What I liked most about this whole event was the relaxed and joyous feeling. H&M were so at ease with each other, the flowers had a 'just picked from the field' look, the deconstructed tier cake, the music, Rev. Curry, and the photos. No tension, no stress - just happiness.

And if I may, for those that thought the dress was ill-fitting, I fear too many viewings of Say Yes to the Dress. Corsets and rhinestones aren't the only way to go. A bride should be comfortable in her dress, not having her circulation cut off. Her 'something blue' shouldn't be her face. (lol) Also, I've never thought much about Camilla but I love that frothy hat! She's the original 'go big or go home' girl and it works for her.

Finally, thank you, thank you Charlotte. A job well done! You deserve a week with your feet up and a cool drink in your hand. :)

I believe that I mentioned here recently that my coworkers scoffed (gently) at my interest in the wedding and in the BRF. Former embroideress Pauline Clayton, 89, a patient at the hospice, described the gift from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as "lovely".

Hospice officials discovered by chance that Mrs Clayton used to work for the Queen's dressmaker Sir Norman Hartnell, when they chatted to her after the royal wedding.

Speaking from her room at the hospice where she is receiving respite care, Mrs Clayton said: "If I was her (Meghan) I would have wanted to keep them all with me."

Mrs Clayton said she worked on the skilled and fine detail embroidery on the Queen's wedding and coronation outfits, when she was 19 years old."

Out of the five royal wedding I have seen televised of BRF members, the wedding of Harry and Meghan was my favorite by far and I do not understand the criticism. All I see is love and a couple committed to act as a team of support for each other. I may be naive, but they seem so in love. 82. What is the white animal on Kate's coat of arms? it doesn't have a horn, so it isn't a unicorn. And what is that terribly fierce animal on Camilla's? It is also on the section that represents her father's. That beast is truly scary!

Since Diana's parents were divorced, that isn't the criterion for giving a woman her own coat of arms, although Meghan's and Birgitte's parents also were divorced. More likely, the fathers did not meet the standards for receiving a British coat of arms, which of course the Earl Spencer already possessed. It does seem as though Thomas Markle possibly could have met them, however, given his ancestry. Perhaps he was never interested in pursuing it.

  83. What an extraordinary woman Meghan is. I didn’t even know who Meghan was till she and Harry got married. News all over the place, so I decided to check it out and in two weeks I’ve read everything about her and all I got to say is she created her own destiny. There are a lot of Meghan haters especially her own family and close friends, but not once did she say anything bad about them. This clearly shows she is first class.

From her up bringing from a broken family, her biracial background, and her socioeconomic status, all didn’t stop her from achieving her dreams.

I’m a guy and for some odd reason looking at her wedding photos, she somehow touched me and I feel like I’ve know her before, not in this life time, but somewhere before. All I can say is she has influenced me as a man as well. We tend to create this barrier within us and that tends to limit us from doing what we can and do. Meghan taught me one thing from reading all her past blogs and stories, take the barrier down and rest will take care of it self.

I wish happiness to Meghan and Harry as long as they live, I also wish Meghan will do more to inspire younger generations to do great things.

    “You are enough.”
