A Kiss For Her Prince: Elegant Meghan Joins Harry for Sentebale Polo Cup!

Prince Harry hosted a charity fundraising polo match in aid of Sentebale at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club this afternoon. As hoped for, the Duchess accompanied him.

A stylish Meghan arrived in a cool outfit. One wouldn't guess from the photos we're in the middle of a heatwave. Reporters in Berkshire describing conditions as sweltering. California native Meghan appeared unfazed by the temperatures.

Harry and Meghan posed for official photos.

The Duke and Duchess joined guests for a sparkling reception with canapés, followed by an exquisite lunch. Guests dined on Mozzarella ice cream, Parmesan cones, Scottish langoustine, Roasted rump of salt marsh lamb, Calamansi lime meringue pie and British raspberries and cream mille feuille. The lunch was catered by Table Talk, a company long favoured by the royals.

Emily Nash shared a photo of the lunch menu.

Guests included Harry's longtime mentor and friend Mark Dyer and Mike Tindall. Mike chatted to People's Simon Perry on new baby Lena before the match: “So far, so good!” In the heat of this unusual British heatwave. “You buy all these clothes and they never need them. We just use nappies, but I'm not going to complain about hot weather in England,”.

Sentebale was founded in 2006 by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of the Basotho Royal Family. Harry met Prince Seeiso on his gap year in Lesotho and was moved to help vulnerable children and young people in the country. After ten years working in Lesotho, in November 2016, the charity launched operations in Botswana. Sentebale means 'Forget me not' in Sesotho and the name was chosen "as a memorial to the charity work of our own mothers, as well as a reminder to us all not to forget Lesotho or its children." (Prince Harry speaking at the Concert for Diana). Lesotho has the 2nd highest rate of HIV in the world and there are over 37,000 children under 14 living with HIV. The country has 360,000 orphans and around 10% of all children are vulnerable.

More from the charity:

'UNAIDS reports that globally, 1,700 new HIV infections occur every day among young people, and stigma remains a major factor preventing youth accessing lifesaving health services. Despite advancements in treatment and care, young people are lagging behind on multiple fronts—knowledge of HIV, HIV testing, treatment and prevention. It is in this context that Sentebale has developed a youth centred approach, to impact the lives of young people across southern Africa.
In the last 12 months, Sentebale has significantly scaled up its programme in Lesotho and expanded into Botswana, to deliver psychosocial support to 10-to-19-year-olds who are struggling to come to terms with living with HIV. The charity now reaches a cohort of over 4,000 children and young people every month in Lesotho and Botswana.'

The fact operations have expanded to Botswana is a testament to the tireless commitment both Prince Harry and Prince Seesio have shown. The charity credits the annual Sentebale charity match as "one of the most important events" during their fundraising calendar. Below, the message from Harry and Seesio in the programme for the Polo Cup today.

Last month Harry paid a private visit to Lesotho where he opened a school.

At the International Aids Conference in Amsterdam last week, Harry joined HIV response leaders and policymakers to discuss the gaps in the HIV response for young people. He then joined Sir Elton John to launch the MenStar coalition, which will expand the diagnoses and treatment of HIV infections in men, with the aim of ultimately ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.

The match saw Harry play on the Sentebale St. Regis team captained by Sentebale Ambassador Nacho Figueras, against the Royal Salute team, captained by Malcolm Borwick. Harry scored the first goal of the match.

People reports:

'Prince Harry sent a polo ball whizzing toward a gaggle of media capturing his charity game on Thursday — and it was a close call.
The dense, hard ball flew in at shoulder height and narrowly missed a few photographers and crashed into a fence dividing the press area from the VIP’s section, making a surprised security guard nearly jump out of his skin.
The 33-year-old recognized photographer Tim Rooke and called out, “Sorry Rookie. I was trying to give you a good shot!”

Harry's team won by a goal much to the delight of the Duchess.

Meghan was on hand to present the trophy and congratulate the winning team.

Meghan presents the trophy to Nacho Figureas.

And the moment of the day...A kiss for her Prince!

The event raised over £1 million for Sentebale. Below, the winning team and Meghan with guest Enda Kenny. The former Irish Taoiseach spent time with the couple during their visit to Dublin at the British Ambassador's reception.

We saw lovely scenes after the polo with the couple holding hands and joking with each other.

They held hands as they left the match. These two make quite the royal duo :)

Meghan channeled 1950s elegance in the Carolina Herrera V-Neck Faux Wrap Midi Dress. The midnight navy denim piece features cap sleeves, a surplice neckline and a pleated midi length skirt with front pockets. The silhouette of the dress is very much reminiscent of Grace Kelly's style.

The dress is from the Resort 2019 Collection.

The Telegraph writes: The Duchess of Sussex proves she's mastered polo style in Carolina Herrera:

'Women with confidence in their style know that all it takes to put together a strong look is the right mix. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, demonstrated her mastery of the high-high mix - that’s ‘high’ as in luxury fashion, and then ‘high’ as in high-street - with the outfit she chose for the Sentebale Polo Cup on Thursday.
Meghan, supporting husband Prince Harry at the event at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, wore a classic, Fifties-style dark denim dress with a crossover bodice, belted waist and slash pockets in the full skirt- a look which emulates the mid-century chic look she has been borrowing from since her marriage in May.'

The Duchess wore her popular Aquazzura Deneuve pumps in a soft nude pink. They are available in a lower heel height at Lane Crawford.

Meghan carried the £44 J Crew Fan Rattan clutch (those in the US can take a further 30% off with code FLASH). The clutch version of the classic straw bag has proved a very popular accessory - last month Pippa Middleton carried it to Wimbledon.

Meghan accessorised with the Birks 'Bee Chic' Blue Topaz Silver Stud Earrings (with thanks to Meghan's Mirror).

Anne identified Meghan's sunglasses as the £220 Tom Ford Cat-Eye Acetate and Gold-Tone Sunglasses. They are available at Smart Buy Glasses.

With many thanks to the UFO No More team for their work identifying Meghan's look today.

************

In other news, the Duke and Duchess received Harry's private secretary Edward Lane Fox yesterday. Harry invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order. Mr Lane Fox will be moving on from his role in the coming months. He has been a constant presence by Harry's side for last five years. Below, we see him with the couple in Dublin.

Last but not least, Harry and Meghan's joint monogram has been unveiled. Hello! reports "The intricate monogram, made up of an intertwined H and M, was spotted at the top of a letter addressed to The Today Show's Georgie Gardner, the presenter of the Australian breakfast programme. Georgie had gifted Harry and Meghan a picnic blanket on the occasion of their royal wedding in May. The palace responded by sending a letter to the TV star, which was personally signed by the couple. Meghan, who is a keen calligrapher and did Robin Thicke and Paula Patton's wedding invitations, showcased her elegant handwriting at the start and end of the letter."

It was a wonderful day at the polo!

  3. She looks so pretty! Another terrific "Meghan" style dress with lovely shoes and clutch. So glad to see her out and about so I don't have to read anymore of those insipid "Queen won't let Meghan eat garlic" articles. (Actually, I just read the headlines.) :)

    1. I agree 100% Allison. I’m so sick of these rules and protocol articles. I don’t believe there are nearly as many rules as these articles would have us believe. I think in the royal family it’s basically be polished and conservative and professional. Have dignity. Defer to the Queen. And that’s basically it. I don’t believe the Queen at 90 something years old is drafting memos on garlic or wedge sandals or anything else. People forget the tumultuous 80s and 90s with truly embarrassing and shocking scandals for the royal family. I just don’t believe a woman as pragmatic as the Queen is going to waste her time on all these supposed rules after having weathered those years. The fact is the younger members have not really put a foot wrong when it comes to their apparel (and we can certainly disagree on style choices, but I maintain no one has worn anything scandalous) or behavior, therefore I just find it hard to believe they’d be nitpicked within the family over trivial details. I think a lot of these stories come from a need to create conflict to sell papers. It makes an interesting story the same way a book might. Meghan struggling with new rules, Meghan no longer allowed to eat garlic. When nothing that we’ve seen has suggested this. She’s been polished and professional at every turn. Maybe because she’s an American, or biracial, or an actress... any one of these things makes for a compelling will she or won’t she fit in drama. But I think that’s essentially all it is. Fictional drama papers create for entertainment value.

    2. Well said.

I did read an interesting article to refute the "Harry won't let Meghan wear pants" theme. First, of course, she DOES wear pants, s recently as her outing with Kate. Then it showed Diana in several tuxedo outfits. It showed the Queen wearing a pantsuit (once). I like that the Internet is bombarded with "news" to drive away the family articles but when there are no real sightings, the silly stuff comes out and then is carried by every source.
Harry and Elton John had two great days and at least that was covered, too.

      Delete
    3. Yes Allison whenever there are no real sightings and evets, these articles come flooding. I believe there's so much interest in Meghan and Harry right now that anything about food, clothes bans va big news to a lot of people. Hopefully things calm down after they settle.

    5. Amen! Some little old lady with a grudge makes up these rules, I believe. BRF has traditions and protocols but the ridiculous clothing tittle tattle in the Daily Mail is absurd.

Dear Mimi , just a few words to say that denim ..... comes from France ! Yes , about two centuries ago, a French materials maker invented a solid material which could’ be used by farmers and workers, and he made it blue because he lived in a part of France where were grown dyeing plants called indigo . The man’s business was in a southerly town called Nîmes , hence the expression « tissus de Nîmes «  , later shortened in denim .... but it has been so largely adopted by American that it is no problem to think it is very American , I was just saying that as a small addition to the impressive amount of informations Charlotte gathers for every event ! And I must say that I really like Meghan’s dress , she seems quite at ease wearing it .

I really like this dress on Meghan. The shoes are too formal for the casual elegance of the dress in my opinion, but other than that, lovely. I am disappointed that she has another expensive designer dress for an occasion such as this, but that's Meghan's business and certainly not mine. A lovely look for the lovely Duchess.

Congrats to those of you that nabbed the J Crew clutch. It's now only available in the Citron color - I love a rattan bag.

The length of the dress is perfect IMHO. You need that length to off set the fullest and the heaviness of the fabric.

Is anyone watching the new season of Suits? In last night's episode it looked as though Donna had on the navy blue Roland Mouret dress that Meghan wore on the eve of her wedding. Admiring the attire on suits is one of the pleasures of the show.

  43. Good to see her in a well-fitted dress, and obviously happy to be with her prince. The only thing that I find odd is her hand in the front pocket of her dress in the shot where she is standing next to Harry with the trophy. Her left arm provides such a buffer to the man on her left, as if she doesn't want to be part of this group pose.

Forgive me if I'm going too deep with my observation on this. I think she's great and so happy that Harry has finally found his life partner. When the camera catches her in natural interactions, she seems real and approachable, but I am starting to notice how she comes across as looking like she feels out of place and uncomfortable when she's posing for photos at engagements. Like in the Louis christening family photo, where she hangs onto Harry's arm. Or the tight leg crossing when she was w HM and Harry for that commonwealth event. And now this, where she's got her hand jammed in the front of her dress.

Hopefully, over time, she'll relax and always project an air of Fitting In at these engagements.

    1. Zipzipzippy, I found the hand in the pocket a bit contrived looking but did not assume it indicated anything about her security. To me it just looked like she was aware of how everything would look in a photo or on film. It might be a habit after years of being filmed and directed and doing magazine photos.

      Delete
    2. I thought it was odd too but I saw a video on Instagram and it looks like she was going to put her arm around him but then he shifted his body to an angle and she wasn’t able to so her arm ended up just being in front of him. I would have placed my hand in my pocket as well - with his body angled, it was going to be awkward no matter what.

      Delete
    3. Thanks Alaina, this is why still shots can be so hard to read. I was also referencing her hand in her pocket in quite a few of the other shots. If I saw a video of the full event it might look more natural.

      Delete
    4. Stills can definitely be deceiving and unfortunately, some people make their own narrative and then it runs rampant all because of a still photo and imagination. I did some looking and the trophy presentation video is from Emily Nash if you follow her on Twitter - that’s where I found the original that was shared by someone on Instagram.

I love a dress with pockets because sometimes I just don’t know what to do with my hands...maybe Meghan is the same way.

  49. She looks relaxed, cool and just lovely. The silhouette and neckline are so flattering! I really want this dress. I also love how their looks compliment each other. They do casual looks very well. And the PDAs are heartwarming! The shoes seem impractical, but they are gorgeous. I’d like to see her stray away from stilettos for more casual events like this one. Delphina’s dress (the wife of the polo player) was beautiful as well.

I think in the past Harry was quite lonely when William and Kate were away so it is heart warming to see he now has someone who really loves him and can do things with him both in his leisure time and when he is on Royal duty.

I thought Meghan looked wonderful today, One of her best looks so far. Her dress is well-fitted, the belt really helps to nail it and the beautiful silhouette and the V neckline are so flattering! I much prefer this to the boat neckline. The shoes are gorgeous but still seem a little too large. The main thing is she looks happy and relaxed. It's so good to see.
    Well done!

  58. It is good to see love wins also. They look in sync, loved up and happy. UK seems to start agreeing with MM/DOS. The entire look for both of them, and of course DOS' entire look is not only fittingly elegant, she also looks fresh, rested and well settled in her new life. "We focused just on us" seems to continue to be the case.

  59. Lovely day! What a treat for us to see the pictures! I also watched a video of the day. The kiss wasn't as impactful in real life as it is in still pictures. Just before she kissed her prince she kissed Harry's friend on both cheeks. I wonder if Harry said, "My turn now." I got a good chuckle from the video😂

  60. What a cute dress, and for once, the fit is perfect! Not too tight, not too loose, just lovely. Cute shoes too and I also love that sloppy bun with the middle part.
As for Meghan's penchant for looser-fitting clothes I wonder if it's a natural reaction to the way actresses often have to be sewn into their clothes for awards shows. Actresses have talked about going on crash diets and not drinking water for days before awards shows. It's very unhealthy but I guess they have to look perfect on the red carpet.
So now that that's over Meghan might have a natural phobia for extremely tight-fitting clothes.

I also think that Meghan's one of those women whose weight fluctuates easily. This is not a knock on her -- she always has a great body, but in some outtings it' looks like she's lost a lot of weight and is worrisomely thin, and then a week later she'll be fuller both in face and figure and will look healthier. So she might just buy clothes slightly big to take care of the fluctuations.

Anyway great sighting and I hope Harry and Meghan have a great summer vacation!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That’s an interesting thought. I guess I’ve always had the idea that whenever the fit was off, it was the garment that needed to be tailored better to suit her, but I never took into account the possibility of completely normal weight fluctuations. I guess it is because the Duchess herself always looks so toned and fabulous that I never thought of it.

  65. I love her look! The fit issues with the top of her dress I believe are due to the construction of the dress. Rather than having set in/seamed cap sleeves, the sleeves are an extension of the bodice, and end up pulling the entire bodice of the dress. Would have liked to see her in a lower, block-heeled shoe. And maybe with the lower neck and pulled back hair, a n earring with a small drop. Just my observations, she looked lovely.

  67. Meghan looked fabulous! Relaxed and rested. Loved the dress. Shoes are killer, however, would have liked flats, wedge, or chunky heel as others have mentioned. I have no idea how she walkd in grass with heels like that! I end up clinging to my bf's arm when im forced to walk in grass or dirt. Without him I'd be on the floor with twisted ankles!

On a side note, can I get some clarification on the Edward Fox update. It says Harry and Meghan received him and then later mentions him moving on. Did Harry receive his resignation or is receiving him meaning he had a meeting with Harry and Meghan recently?

  72. Is it ok to mention Meghan's awkward family situation? I just wanted to express my sympathy, I think she is handling it all with dignity and kindness, I wish they would stay out of the papers. If her father was really interested in being a part of her life he would not be so public with his statements and accusations. So harsh and inappropriate, I can't think what they hope to achieve by doing this every week, every day... I think Meghan has enough to handle, it's so unfortunate they can't just give her quiet support. Happily, Harry, her wonderful mother, and the entire royal family is giving her lots of love and support. So wonderful! Kudos to this radiant, happy inspiring and classy couple! xoxoxo

    2. Agreed, Diane. What a sad family dynamic; I feel terrible for Meghan and what she has to deal with. It’s certainly become clear why Doria was the family member invited to the wedding.

    3. What I think about all this is not publishable in a family blog. They are a narcissistic, money grabbing bunch who obviously have no regard for Meghan as a person, just what being adjacent to her can get them. They should be ashamed and I for one will not click.on any interviews any of them do. This situation is all Tom markles making and he now realizes he seriously over egges his pudding with those pre wedding stunts. Hence the crap he is saying now. And it's all about him, not any love he might have for his daughter. I'm torn on what would be the best course of action. Ignore and let this continue or pay them off?

      Delete
    4. The piece of the puzzle that has never made sense to me is that Harry did not meet Meghan's father prior to the engagement, yet they expected him to play a flawless role on the wedding day and walk Meghan down the aisle. I am NOT defending her father, and I stated early on that he would not have walked me down the aisle after we learned about the staged photos. But for some reason I don't see him as having exactly the same motivation as his other children; I think the siblings are attention seeking, greedy, and jealous. In her father's case, I'm beginning to think it's more of a cry for his daughter's attention. Perhaps he feels shut out and irrelevant as she has embrace royal life. I do think that her father **could** have been "managed" if Meghan (and Harry & KP) had been proactive about it. And it's a pity that they didn't try because I don't see this ending any time soon.

      Just my two cents.

    5. Meghan is taking the high road in all this, by remaining silent. This is an extremely complex situation and there is much more to it than we know, or that we need to know. At first I thought Thomas Markle was a decent man, who made some poor choices. But the more he talks, the more he shows his true colours and the more he betrays his daughter. He is making this all about Thomas. I do hope at some point the estrangement can be resolved and father and daughter will reunite. But this won't happen until Mr. Markle behaves, closes his mouth and puts Meghan's feelings, needs and position before his own. I have to give credit to Meghan's first husband. He has been most discreet in not speaking to the media.

    6. @bluehare....they cannot pay them off nor should they. Doing so would do no good because they would always want more.
I think he needs to be revealed for what he is and everyone should call him out: as a person he is crude and mean-spirited, his comments about the Queen are abhorrent, and his comments about Princess Diana just as disgusting.
As a “father” he is abusive and a bully - he is literally verbally and emotionally abusing Meghan! He needs to be called out for the horrible person that he is, he knows that Meghan is not able to speak or fight back. He won’t go away because I bet that he is now being paid to regularly say nasty things about Meghan and the royals. As an American I find his behavior crude and repulsive....crawl back under your rock #thirstythomas #worldsworstdad #shameonyou

    7. I agree with all of you, thanks for weighing in on this bizarre and lamentable situation. I think we all agree that Meghan is handling it all extremely well - better than I would be able to! I truly hope that man can stop acting like a spoiled child, we all only wish the best for Harry and Meghan, and I would assume he would too! Now, on to other things. :) I can't wait to see what she wears next - Meghan's style is knocking me out, every time! And I can't wait to see Kate again - and Louis!

    8. Here’s the thing - I also wondered why Harry never met Meghan’s dad before the wedding, but since we only have her father’s side of the story, we will never know what the whole truth of the matter is. Also, the more he keeps talking to the media with these outlandish statements, the less inclined I am to believe anything that comes out of his mouth. The frankly cruel things he’s said about his daughter (and he supposedly loves her!) were shocking; not to mention the awful things he said about other members of the royal family, which were just unnecessary. HM the Queen had the opportunity to meet him at the wedding, but he didn’t go, so don’t blame her for doing her job as the head of state when she has to meet other people, regardless of how unsavory one of those people may be. And definitely don’t bring Diana into this mess. And also, to claim he “made” Meghan into what she is today? Yes, he had a hand in raising her, but good grief, it’s starting to come across as creepy.
It’s seriously like everything that he says is designed to make the public feel sympathy for Meghan because of his awfulness. If that’s the goal, good job, because you’re making yourself look like a delusional, if not nightmarishly bad, person.

    9. From what I understand, their relationship has always been a bit fractured. I also understand that Kensington Palace reached out to him after the engagement and offered help. He turned it down. I do think that her half sister is involved in this up to her neck, and I wonder how much influence she has. But at the end of the day it's his decision to say all this crap, and his alone.

Anonymous, I agree. I don't think they should pay them off. However, it's getting so awful to read all this stuff -- and I don't even click on the interview articles! I am heartened to read that there is starting to be some real pushback against him after this latest round. If he's smart, he'll read the signs and STFU.

    10. Not meeting that man was the best thing they have done. Imagine if they met with him which would give him even more contact which would lead to even more stories that he could like and or elaborate on for his friends. The father did not want them to visit because he was colluding with the paps.

      Delete
  73. @Diane...I concur with your sentiments and she is absolutely doing the right thing. There is absolutely no way she can have a relationship with her selfish, media-hungry, and let's face it - extremely delusional "father." And it's all his doing...he's crossed lines that you can't go back from. He does not love her; it seems he just loves getting attention at her expense...that is how history will remember him. It's obvious that his role is to attack her and by doing so attack the royals...he's probably being paid to do so because it is obvious he doesn't care about Meghan. His beahavior is dreadful- obviously Meghan got all her good traits from her mother...just leave her alone #thirstythomas, #worldsworstdad along with her halfsibling #samanthaenvy

  75. Now it is clear why the father did not censure his older children---he blames Meghan. And he thinks what they are doing is OK. He says one seemingly nice thing and then slams his ex wife, Meghan, Meghan's husband, her new family. I could be wrong but it seems like a lot of diversionary "stories" appear whenever one of these nasty items is run, like Eugenie wearing the same shoes, Jessica asking if one can go to a restaurant in workout clothes, and so on. I'm wondering if Meghan's friends and family are doing it to get the nasty item lost and part of "old news." If so, it's very sweet.
I guess the mystery of why Meghan had not visited Dad for so long is solved. Meghan said she chose to be happy. The most anti-feminist statement that the father "made" "the Duchess" was she is speaks volumes.

    ReplyDelete
  76. And it's just creepy having your father comment to the world about you showing a little shoulder, looking scared, having babies, saying you are not kind, implying you are ungrateful, and so on. It is painful to everyone who hears him.

  77. Annette New Zealand30 July 2018 at 01:19

Yes the main faults are on her father's side as he was invited to the wedding and expected to walk his daughter down the aisle, so they didn't ignore him. After all suitable clothing had been made for him and he was listed in the programme. It was Thomas Senior himself who said that he couldn't come because of his health problems. Both Meghan and Harry reassured him that his health must come first and accepted his decision. I read somewhere that they offered to go over to Mexico to see him after the wedding, but he said not to bother until he was better. (Not sure if this latter report is true as we know the media make up a lot of these stories!) Unfortunately, by making critical comments since then to the news media about the Queen and the Royal family he has made it very difficult for Meghan. She must be very embarrassed about him insulting her new inlaws and can't afford to just give in and say to come over and we'll arrange for the Queen to invite you to the Palace. If she does that it would look as if she agrees with what he is saying. He really needs to find a way to quietly apologise to them all but keep it between them, NOT announce it through the media. I suspect Samantha is urging him on and he is the sort of person who is easily intimidated.

  78. Thomas Markle, what he is doing is nasty. Am not sure how one can forgive these kind of attacks, this kind of betrayal has reached no point of return. I also think that he is a security risk to Meghan and Harry and they should monitor him. Those who say he just wants attention - he has all the attention and it's not enough. He wants to destroy his daughter, " if I can't have her, then no one will.."

  79. The Markle seem to be making life very aggravating for Meghan and Harry. Her father’s interviews are unforgivable betrayals and he shows himself to be a selfish and narcissistic man who cares only about his own image such as it is. Except for one childhood friend who bashed Meghan and cashed in by selling photos, the friends that Meghan has made in adulthood have remained loyal by being silent. There have been no ex-boyfriends or husbands who have said anything bad about Meghan. I hope that as the Markle continue to show themselves to be destructive and vicious people, only people who are haters will fail to acknowledge them for what they are. I think Meghan is choosing not to be a victim by not acknowledging their attacks. The song “Stand by Me” sung at their wedding is even more moving heard in retrospect and has become an anthem for them. The leader of the Kingdom Choir even said that she saw that, through their choice, it became a love song.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Couple of things. It will be fun to see if they end up being gifted a house. Second Mr. Markle's comments do not amount to much except for providing some sites some stories to print for a few days. I am sure Meghan is sad to see him in this state. Nothing devastating is being printed, just some rather sad ramblings by a 70 year old man. This is all so relatively minor that it will blow over for everyone. As an outsider it is always sad to see a broken family but it most likely is not new for Meghan and I am sure she worked out these issues for herself about her Father years ago. He is only hurting himself.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Wow, "nothing devastating is being printed"? What this man is saying is abusive- please don't dismiss this as just ramblings, this is more than ramblings. This man is attacking his daughter in the press, saying hurtful things. I am not sure what his age justifies what he is doing?

    ReplyDelete
  82. For anyone wondering why Harry has not met Thomas Markle, the answer is quite simple. Meghan knew the kind of man that he is and chose to protect her boyfriend then (husband now) from him. The other reason based on his refusal for help and support is he may have just flaked on them every time they attempted to visit.

I personally have had to cut toxic family members out of my life and before you do it you are plagued with guilt and embarrassment and so many other negative emotions. But once you do it and free yourself of them you realize that their actions are exactly that “their actions”. It is not a reflection on you and you stop being angry and embarrassed and go on to live your best life.

From seeing recent pictures of Meghan and Harry they seem happy and I pray they continue to rise above this nonsense and live their best lives. At the end of the day Good trumps evil.

  83. You know when I knew Thomas was a manipulator? When he kept talking to TMZ 3 days before the wedding. Remember the "will he or won't he" go to the wedding? The phone lines/palace were open then but he chose to ignore the palace advice and kept talking to TMZ. He had so many people fooled. Even if you want the attention of your daughter, do you get it by saying,"I made you what you are today" "You have your mother's attitude" "your new family is not treating you right"-To The Press?? Those who say these are sad ramblings of an old man, these are just not sad words-some of us have been abused by an abusive parent, I wouldn't wish the emotional pain, guilt, humiliation and other emotions on an enemy. Don't get me started on the half-sister, am not
sure who is worse Samantha or Thomas...Now they are working together?!
I hope Meghan is taking good care of herself and hopefully she will be able to find peace with the decisions she makes. 1. That was when I knew also. Who calls TMZ when they have a heart attack. Noone does that unless they have been working with these people before hand. I suspect the rumor about Harry and Meghan going to Canada was leaked to TMZ by Tom Sr. and that was all Harry and Meghan needed to know about him.

    2. You never know Mimi, you are probably right, I heard the royals have a way to test and see where leaks are coming from. I have a feeling they have more going on in the background than we have been told. Can you imagine if he leaks a real location, how that can be risky security wise?

  84. Even though the Markle family drama is excruciatingly to watch and horribly unfair and deplorable - there is one good thing that is coming out of it - it shows how MUCH CLASS MEGHAN HAS. She does not take the bait, she does not lash out or hit back, instead she quietly goes out and inspires others, supports others, radiates joy and love and possibilities and opportunity. Her dad, her half sister - these toxic people only highlight the contrast between them and her every time they open their mouths. Who would want to be in a family with them?! Thomas was so lucky to be included in the wedding plans at all, but he's a child and couldn't handle the responsibility and we all know what happened. I just wish the papers would ignore them, I'm SICK of looking at his face and reading the hateful, pathetic comments from him and from that half sister. Get a life! And GO MEGHAN, YOU ROCK!

    ReplyDelete
  85. At this point, it seems like the father wants to break them up. I believe Meghan has a whole family plus staff behind her and it is wise to separate the two worlds---hers with Harry and the father with the awful half-sister.
