Harry, Meghan & Archie Arrive in Cape Town

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have landed in Cape Town with Archie for their ten-day tour of South Africa, Angola, Malawi and Botswana. There's a couple of arrival shots available on The Mirror. My word, Master Archie has grown :)

An adorable hat for Archie, very similar to one Harry wore as a baby during his first overseas visit in 1995.

The family arriving.

Meghan wore Everlane's Editor Slingbacks (with thanks to Caroline).

We have a very exciting day ahead. Harry and Meghan will view a workshop that educates children about their rights and safety, and provides self defence and female empowerment training for young girls in the community. From there, the Duke and Duchess will tour the District Six Museum to learn about their work reuniting community members forcibly relocated during the apartheid era. The day will conclude with a community cooking activity with former residents of District Six at the nearby Homecoming Centre.

We can expect to see both Harry and Meghan give speeches and possibly touch on the violence against women in the country. We expect to see engagements kick off around lunch time.

  6. I know the photos are super blurry, but aside from the Everlane slingbacks, has anything Meghan wore getting off the plane been ID’d? On Twitter, one account said she was wearing her Mackage Mai coat, another said she was wearing the Mackage “Leora” coat in Sand, and another said she was wearing her Line the Label “Mara” coat in Blush Pink. I read somewhere else that she was wearing a white sweater, but people were still trying to ID it.

I realize you’re crazy busy today (!!) but would love to know for sure what coat it actually is (if there’s any way to really know considering the photo quality!).

Thank you so much for your fabulous coverage!!

    1. Hello,

Thank you for reading. I'm just working on the District Six post and will have a proper look at the photos and see what the brilliant ladies who ID so quickly have come up with once it's published. I don't think the coat is the Mai though.

I'll get back to you as soon as I hear something.

    2. Anon, sadly due to the lack of hi-res photos, the only piece I think we can say for certain is the Everlane flats. Perhaps we'll see other pieces again and hopefully get a definitive ID.

Welcome to Mad About Meghan! We do so look forward to reading your thoughts. Constructive, fair debate is always encouraged. Hateful, derogatory terms and insults are not welcome here. This space focuses on Harry and Meghan, not any other member of the Royal family. It's not the place to discuss politics either. Thank you for reading, we look forward to your comments :)
