Meghan's Cosy & Chic Pyjamas Styles

As so many of us begin another week at home and continue to adjust to new routines I thought it a good time to begin writing reader suggestions. In several messages and emails this month, I've had requests for more fashion and beauty posts. Today's we're taking a look at Meghan's favoured pyjamas styles. It's a good time to have comfortable and stylish PJs, right? During Meghan's time starring as Rachel Zane on Suits, she wore a pair of Eberjey Gisele PJs customised with 'Rachel' above the chest pocket.

The $120 pair are a supple blend of super-soft modal jersey in a tailored fit. They are available in a range of colours at Neiman MarcusSaks Fifth Avenue and Zappos. The sleepshirt is available at Neiman Marcus and the short set at ShopBop. Nordstrom also carries a very similar style called the Moonlight Pyjamas for $65.

At the time, Meghan said she was "certifiably obsessed" with them.

More on the brand:

'Eberjey was born in 1996 from the belief that the layer worn next to the heart should express happiness, love and confidence all the things that make a woman truly beautiful. noticing a distinct lack of lingerie that spoke to this belief, co-founders Ali Mejia and Mariela Rovito, then colleagues at a global advertising agency, ventured to fill this void by creating pretty underthings that flattered real bodies and felt good too.
Ali had always joked that someday she would design underwear for laterally challenged, flat-bottomed women like herself, so that's what Eberjey did first. and thus, the boy short became a must-have item in well-stocked lingerie drawers everywhere. but that was just the beginning. Thongs, bralets, and camis soon followed, along with pajamas, loungewear and swimwear as women fell in love with the girly-sexy-comfy style and look of Eberjey.
Eberjey has now grown from a beloved lingerie brand to an even-more beloved worldwide lifestyle brand. you¹ll find Eberjey in upscale u.s. department stores and boutiques, as well as in Europe, Japan and Canada. throughout its success and incredible journey, the ultimate Eberjey goal remains the same: to create must-have pieces that express life, love, and above all joy!'

During an interview with Flare in 2015, Meghan discussed recipes, The Tig and her thoughts on pyjamas: "I love it, it sorts of speaks to the California relaxed feeling." For the photoshoot, Meghan and stylist Talia Brown paired stylish sleepwear with chic sweaters. Meghan teamed the Kit & Ace Ash Sweater with a pair of red silk Rag & Bone Rudy pyjama trousers. Meghan's French Connection Lonnie Loafers completed the look.

For the second look Meghan teamed a fluffy cream jumper with polka dot pyjama trousers.

The look is easily emulated. Below, the $25 H&M Fluffy Sweater, pants from the PJ Salvage Stand Up to Cancer set or Topshop tile print pyjamas and a pair of Dr Scholl's Sneakers.

On Instagram during her time in Toronto in 2016, Meghan shared a photo from her home wearing J Crew end-on-end pyjamas in spot print. The style is available in Hydrangea for $26.50 on J Crew's Factory website.

It appears it's not the only nightwear style Meghan owns from the retailer. In another shot from 2016, with her adorable goddaughter Rylan Litt, it looks very much like she wore J Crew's Nightshirt in end-on-end cotton.

It remains available in most sizes on the website. You can add a monogram for an additional $10.

When it comes to a comfortable pair of slippers, Meghan is a fan of Ugg's Scuffette style.

With many thanks to the ladies who identified many of these pieces over the last couple of years, including Meghan's Mirror, What Meghan Wore, Meghan Maven, Meghan's Fashion and Dress Like a Duchess.

  1. Great post. If you can please do the 1950's style clothes that she wore while in the UK. I really like the one she had in Australia with the birds from DeLa Ranta

  2. Not only was this tons of fun (thank you, Charlotte!), but it's fun to view Meghan's earlier fashion now that we know her so much better. I love the kitchen poses!

What a great post, Charlotte! Trust Meghan to take comfortable and cozy up a notch and make it stylish and chic too. Suddenly, I find myself in need of new pj's, or maybe a new nightshirt . . .

  5. This post made me smile! I was just going through Meghan’s past outfits before she met Harry the other day & I noticed in one pic that she was wearing these really cute pyjamas :) I’m so glad that you’ve done a compilation of her great PJ collection! :P
During my moments of lockdown boredom, I’ve also been going through a lot of her archived The Tig posts & trying to make some of the recipes she posted. What a gem of a blog The Tig was. I do hope she reinstates it one day...

These kinds of posts are exactly what we need right now! They're so fun! And I agree with Allison, it's fun to go back and see old photos and information now that we know so much more about Meghan. I do wish the Tig were still running right now!

  8. The problem I have not exclusively with Meghan but with people who have successful Instagram accounts in general is that you can never know if something they show and say they love is because they really do or because their posts are sponsored. It seems they are now required to add the hashtag #ad when they are promoting something, which I highly appreciate.

If you would all be interested, I could work on some posts focused on recipes, fashion and travel inspired by Meghan's pieces for The Tig.

  10. I in general do not like lifestyle blogs and never read one more than once, but when Meghan's name came to knowledge, I looked at The Tig and really enjoyed it. It seemed so honest. I checked it everyday until that fateful day.

Another thing that I was fascinated with a few years ago were the photos of Meghan with Harry at the friend's wedding before they were engaged. "Lip-readers" reported that Harry was unhappy and already bored with Meghan -- I thought Harry looked sad because of his life situation and Meghan seemed to be trying to comfort him. I think my version was right. :)

    1. As I recall, Harry was upset about the unwelcome photographers there taking photos of him and Meghan.

    3. Lauri, That makes sense. Photographers, etc frightened off his first two loves, so I imagine he was very unhappy about it.

  12. I love a great set of pyjamas, and they can be more alluring than a negligee. I think Meghan's collection runs the gamut here- fun, cozy, cute, sexy. What a fun post. Thank you, Charlotte!

  13. I absolutely love Meghan's style, especially her affinity for a good pencil skirt. She always looks very put together, even when she is in ripped Jeans.

  14. For anyone interested Chris Jackson is posting photographs he has taken of Royals on tour our virtual magical mystery tour. The photographs are wonderful and showcases people and places all over the world. The photographs are on his instagram account which is public.
