The Duke and Duchess of Sussex & The Prince & Princess of Wales Greet Crowds in Windsor

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Prince and Princess of Wales viewed tributes and undertook a walkabout at Windsor this evening. It is a rare sight many never expected to see -- a show of unity in honour of Her Majesty. I have a great deal of news and updates to share but just wanted to post several videos first.

I will have a full post shortly with details of funeral arrangements and the day's events.

  1. Thanks Charlotte. I am so moved to see them zinsi and wish that this unity continues. Really, each of them must make an effort to live in harmony from now on. They must understand that only their unity can put an end to all this outpouring of hatred. Really it's good to see lzs like that๐Ÿ™

  3. I forgot Charlotte to say that I feel your great happiness to see them reunited in this way and I share it too. It's not easy to see people we like in conflict and when these 4 show us how they are welded it does us a lot of good.

  4. What a poignant surprise. I'm glad the brothers came together publicly; I am sure the Queen would be proud they did this. I do feel sorry for the princes; I would not like to grieve in public. But I understand their grief is shared with a nation. I wish W&K and H&M well during this time, and hope the UK press shows some restraint vs. continuing mean-spirited narratives. Thanks for the quick post, Charlotte! -op

  5. @Ghilou 19:11: I do wish that were true. However, it's my observation that Camp Hatred is firmly entrenched and has ringleaders with significant access to and clout in the media and press. No action (or even absence of action) will go without vitriol from the Haters. It's an unfortunate element of public discourse now-a-days, and not only in regards to the Royal Family.

    1. Yes it's unfortunately true Philly but thank God the majority of the public is not fooled. Pray that these 4 young people learn lessons and choose to impose harmony by remaining united.

    2. @Philly 19:58, I agree with you completely. All I can do is applaud Meghan for her apparent serenity. In the video where she is hugging the woman, just down the line is another woman who is clearly avoiding contact with Meghan. She shakes all the hands extended towards her. And moves on gracefully.

  6. Despite everything these miserable little tabloids would have us believe, the British people love Meghan very much. When I go to the United Kingdom I am always touched by all the compassion and understanding they have for Meghan judging that her integration was not well managed by the royal family because Meghan unlike the other sisters-in-law came with so much of "weaknesses" (color, nationality, blackmail on the part of his family etc etc) which have been well exploited by the haters. But what a pleasure to see that Meghan takes it upon herself and has been above all this nastiness.

  8. I think Charles had some part in this, and that would be a very good thing. William seemed very pleasant, pointing out things to Harry and Meghan at one point. I won't analyze it further, but it is excellent to do this. I'm glad William offered and I'm glad Harry accepted. Sometimes you have to act right before all your feelings get onboard, and this is a good and long overdue start. I think Meghan being from California is more disliked than being biracial -- I live in Texas and people here seem to hate Californians. Kate is absolutely perfect for her role; Meghan is perfect for her different role. They should be celebrating that the two women are in their perfect roles! :) But back to today -- I truly did not think I'd see it judging by recent events, so kudos to William.

  9. The masthead on the HRH Duchess Kate blog is beautiful and extremely fitting for the current solemn affairs. Just wondering why it wasn't also on this blog - it seems as though it would help to remind us all that our focus right now is (rightly) on Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth (May she rest in peace).

    1. Thank you for reminding me. I had intended to do so and was sidetracked. It would be most appropriate.

Welcome to Mad About Meghan! We do so look forward to reading your thoughts. Constructive, fair debate is always encouraged. Hateful, derogatory terms and insults are not welcome here. This space focuses on Harry and Meghan, not any other member of the Royal family. It's not the place to discuss politics either. Thank you for reading, we look forward to your comments :)
