As part of Archewell's acts of compassion this month celebrating women, the Duchess of Sussex wrote several special notes of encouragement to clients supported by her patronage Smart Works. The charity revealed "Written by The Duchess, several thoughtful notes were delivered to our centre earlier this week, and then dispatched to our clients, to give them that extra piece of encouragement as they return to the workplace. Each of the notes was written with kindness and care and included personalised messages for the women receiving them."
In one letter of support to a client before her interview Meghan wrote, "I wanted to write personally to wish you every success in your upcoming interview. While any interview can feel daunting, I know that Smart Works has enabled you with the confidence to thrive throughout the process. Your interview follows an auspicious day of celebration - International Women's Day. We hope others recognise this day by delivering acts of compassion all throughout the month, and also in acting with compassion for each other every month. I hope you can use this moment to harness belief in yourself and your ability to succeed". Meghan added "You’ll be amazing in your interview! Just remember - deep breath and be yourself."
Writing to a client who recently got a job in the health sector, "I wanted to offer my personal congratulations on landing a new position in public health – I can’t think of anything more important right now. And I’m so pleased to know that Smart Works supported you in the lead-up to your successful job interview. Wishing you every success in your new role." The note is sitting on the blue dress and brown bag from the Smart Set collection.
