Buckingham Palace shared deeply concerning news regarding Her Majesty's health just before lunchtime. A statement read: "Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral." Not only is it enormously rare for BP to issue such an update, but all of the Queen's children and Prince William have travelled to Scotland. It has just been confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are travelling to Scotland. They were due to attend the WellChild awards today, this will not be going ahead, and I've heard a raft of engagements across the board have been cancelled for the royal family.
It is desperately sad and worrying news. Thoughts are with Her Majesty and the entire family. I'll let you all know when we hear more.
UPDATE: Prince Harry is now travelling to Balmoral, Meghan will remain in Windsor. Below, a link to Sky News Live.
I wish the Queen was faking this to get them to reconcile , but I know better. I hope she gets better.
ReplyDeleteI admit that this alternative has crossed my mind but unfortunately...given the sad news.May she rest in peace🙏
DeleteI've been worried about Her Maj since the Duke passed; some couples are like that, they kind of lose heart when one leaves ahead of them. HM has a very different personality than the Queen Mother's
ReplyDeleteSo very upsetting. It seems to be extremely serious -- I had hoped the Queen would follow her mother into the 100s. As far as personal loss, I think Harry has been communicating with the Queen via Zoom so he should be at peace in that regard.
ReplyDeleteVery sad today it's been such a tough year on her. God save the Queen!!! I am so afraid she will pass today and things will just never be the same again
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am not a fan of Elisabeth 2 from certain points of view, I have nevertheless become very attached to her in the long run and I really wish her a lot of strength and Love to get through her difficult times. At this moment she needs to be surrounded by a lot of love.
ReplyDeleteThank you in advance Charlotte for keeping us informed of the situation. Speedy recovery to Prince Harry's grandmother.
The pictures of her with the new PM were a bit of a shock. She looked very frail. I’m glad the family is able to be with her. in her last breath
ReplyDeleteGod save the Queen.
Do we know if Harry made it in time to be with the Queen before she passed away ?
ReplyDeleteHello, sadly not, only Charles and Anne were there.
